Was visiting family in the French Alps and was suggested La Florentine... Italian cuisine... family business... outstanding from antipasti to pasta and risotto to homemade desserts... this restaurant is amazing with exceptional friendly staff... not to be missed when in the Alps...

Went there with my friend, it's centrally located. Staff are welcoming and nice, we had as appetizer moule and mozzarella with pork, yummy. Main dish we had escalope, super tasty one. White wine as drink, excellent one in fact. Much recommended.

What a lovely location for a pizza joint. It overlooks the river and you can see the bubbles (telepherique) & the French Alps. We were here on Saturday night for 4 of us without booking. We went al fresco and dined outside. The weather was beautiful and the sunset was great. It was a warm summers night. It could be a little bit too romantic to dine with my work colleagues! The pizza I ordered was great but it had black burnt bits on it which I had to remove. The calzone was delicious though. I enjoyed all of it and it was really filling. I had an orangina as I don't drink alcohol, but my work colleagues loved the french wine. The desserts were average though. It was a huge portion of a banana split. I was a little disappointed with the ice cream as it was bland, white and generic - like the stuff you get in McDonalds, the banana was over ripe too. Luckily I was too full at this point to actually care about the quality of the dessert as I didn't eat 95% of it.Anyway I didn't pay for the bill so all good for me but the menu did have the prices on them and they are fair for the location, its around 10 euros for a pizza. The conversion rates for me means that my meal was really cheap anyway and I would have laughed my head off even I had to pay the bills.I had a great time and the waiter was good. He spoke some English and could translate some of the menu for us and answer our questions. The service was prompt and the restaurant wasn't all that slow that I had imagined the french to be...The place was packed out by the time we left which was a good sign too.

The pizzas we ordered were very good and reasonably priced for the size... about 10€ for a one person pizza that is very filling. Only issue was that there was a lot of black charcoally stuff on the bottom of the crust since the pizzas are wood fired but it gave the pizza a slightly bitter taste. Other than that I was not disappointed. Had profiterolles for dessert which were great.

I ate here with work colleagues and found the food and atmosphere to be lovely. I had a three course meal and enjoyed all aspects of it with the pizza being the highlight. The prices were reasonable and the service efficient and polite.

La Florentine is my best pizza restaurant in Grenoble. The space is charming, the service fast, the quality of the food good and the price reasonable. What else would one request from a pizzeria?

This is perhaps my favourite of the pizza restaurants on the quays. We tend to get pizzas rather than pasta, and in terms of quality we are never disappointed. As seems to be the case for all these restaurants, beware of the desserts as they can double the bill. That said, I find the pizzas themselves to be excellent value for money.Booking is highly recommended as every time I go they are full and have to turn people away - which is in itself a good indication of the quality of the food. With the recent remodelling of the quays we should see a return to the rather more calm days when the quays were two-way, before they were turned into a race-track. Now the traffic will be significantly slower, and there is space set aside for outside tables.
