Helpful people who found us a table, 'menu de terroir' good value and all well cooked. Bit have a bit of a wait as very busy but some of the translations on the menu kept us amused "sauté canard & pommes purée d'ail" = jumped duck and his garlic mashed.

Just had a lovely meal here. Service seemed a little slow in taking our order but was faultless afterwards. Had the four course Menu Gormand - scallops, sirloin with Camembert sauce, cheese and bavarois. My wife had escalope of veal with Normandy sauce instead of the steak. Food was excellent throughout, with some real tasty local specialities. Would recommend.

We had our dinner snd breakfast here and we enjoyed our time. The staff is very friendly and polite, the food is good and the athmosphere is cosy.

Dinner with kids in a very small and quiet high street resturant which caters mostly for thier guests in their 8 bed hotel. very rich food all covered in fussy and excessive garnish. Disappointed and would not recommend to families with kid. More the older clientelle.

This is a lovely ,traditional Normandy restaurant .We have eaten here many times over the years and the standard in this restaurant is always superb.We last visited two weeks ago and had a lovely evening.We both went for the €27.59 formula had a beautiful meal.My starter of Fruits de la Mare was superb,a meal in itself,my husbands steak was delicious.In fact we had a wonderful evening,nothing could be faulted.The service was good,the ambience welcoming and relaxing,nothing could be faulted.We shall most certainly return and wholeheartedly recommend The Hotel Nomand.

We arrived in houlgate on the 18 th of July and restaurant le Normand was our first choice,all expectations were met, good service , polite , and above all damn good food,just been again tonight 24/7/15, our last meal out on France before heading home in the morning, perfect is all I can say , highly recommend

This isn't our first visit and we've enjoyed each one. A good choice of local food and drinks. Friendly greetings from all the staff with the French approach to enjoying the meal time. Seats in and outside with extra tables set outside tonight because it was hot and we wanted to enjoy the cool breeze. We would recommend that you try it and we will be there again to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the food.

Great set price meal at 16.50 Euros, all 3 courses were good and several choices at each stage. Really good food and excellent service. Would definitely go again.
