We had an excellent diner at Paris Nice. I strongly recommend the foie gras and the dishes with "Chaource". Service was also really friendly

Arriving in Joigny after an overnight flight and a long drive from Paris, including a couple hours lost in rural Burgundy, we were debating whether to honor our reservation for dinner at Restaurant Paris Nice, in the hotel in which we were staying. We were so pleased to have decided to go ahead with dinner. Obviously a popular place with the local crowd, Paris Nice has a range of Menus, from 19 E to appx 50E. We chose a moderate menu and enjoyed a superb meal. Sorry, but too much time has passed to recount the meal and it is not our practice to keep detailed notes. At this stage, I simply have very warm and pleasant memories of the meal, and the superb local wine offered by the carafe to accompany it.

This is a restaurant with a fine menu but we found when Claire was not on duty that the management was less than satisfactory. We have no hesitation of recommending it when Claire is on but her staff needs better training. That squad we would dine there again.

We were warmly welcomed, and initially service was good. My partner's steak tartare was excellent: I was less fortunate with my beefburger which was well done to the point of dryness - I had requested 'a point'. The chips were not successful - possibly had been kept warm and reheated: they looked as though they had absorbed too much oil. After our main courses were served, no-one came near us for about half an hour, so it was impossible to return the overcooked burger. To be fair, when a more senior staff member realised I had eaten barely half of my meal, we were offered a choice of any dessert on the menu, and an unreserved apology. I agree with the comments of another contributor about the pictures - decidedly weird.

I had dinner several times here and i find this a very fine restaurant. Great food for decent prices in a very nice atmosphere. The hotel i would not recommend due to the noise but the restaurant is nothing but excellent !

A truly excellent restaurant. The menu is comprehensive. The service is excellent. The food is excellent. This is one of the best restaurants at which we have ever eaten and it would rival more famous restaurants with Michelin stars, but the price is very reasonable. We have eaten there three times and each time has been wonderful.

I am sorry, but the best I can say about Paris NIce is that it is a "Super-sized, Fast Food French Gourmet Restaurant ". What else can one say about a supposedly fine French restaurant that has a buffet bar, cheeseburgers and pizza on the men - and with very bright lights and hundreds (and I am not exaggerating) of oil paintings of googly-eyed cartoon children as decorations . The whole place is setup for the maximization of profit - everything is rush, rush, rush, but they are the hardest working staff I have ever seen - they served with a staff of six servers over 150 people in the two hours we were there. I really felt that I was in a faux French restaurant in America.
