Excellent moment spent in this paillote. The food was amazing and we were well served. Next time we will ask for a table next to the beach so we can enjoy the view. well done for this new season. Went few times before and it looks like you found the perfect match. Very chic.

It may only be there for the summer each year, but I love this place and it was my second visit. I was not disappointed. What could be nicer than being served an excellent lunch right by the sea? The food is both interesting and delicious and one could easily spend an afternoon sipping wine and relaxing with a paddle or swim between courses.

We spent a day at La Voile Bleue last week. I had high hopes as it looked a great website and we love spending a day at a beach club and being spoiled.I booked the club through the manager's email online. It was my first time in Montpellier and I knew that the beach club was a trip out of town so I asked him if he could advise of how we do that other than a taxi i.e. Public transport. He told me to look at the TAM website. At the time I though fair enough but now having been to Montpellier there is really one way to get to the club from central Montpellier which is via a tram to Place de France and the 106 bus to Grand Motte. It's simple and would have taken him two minutes to explain even if just to mention it as a suggestion and for me look on the site he had given. Although a URL would have been helpful. When we arrived I asked for towels but told they were 15 euros each (on top of the 18 euros each beds). Ok fair enough, it would have nice to be warned. But for that price you don't get towels but sarongs. Actually sarongs with stains. One looked like a burn mark but hey we were there to have fun. Of course we found out as we left that we get to keep the stained sarongs. Brilliant. Not sure what I'm going to do with a yellow sarong with a black mark.I started my 250 euros day ( yep we spent that on beds, drinks, food and stained sarongs in about four hours) with a raspberry infused cocktail.I took a sip and realised that the raspberry on top was covered in mould. I sent it back and of course I don't know for sure but it came back pretty quickly with a fresh raspberry. I assume in that time not a new, fresh drink. My partner went off to the toilet to get changed. So there aren't changing rooms but really disgusting toilets. He came back shocked and said the floor was wet and dirty and it wasn't a nice experience. I went off to check them out, it was like a public toilet that you'd expect on the beach but remember we were spending 250 euros with these guys. I've been to other beach clubs around the world and this was way below standard.I had already booked and confirmed lunch for 130 with the manager when I had reserved the beds the week before. At 12 I thought I would double check the reservation so walked up to the restaurant. Oh no we have you down at 2pm. We called you yesterday to change it. No you didn't, I had my phone on all day. Sorry we changed it to 2pm or you can sit now if you are quick. No thanks. They told me to come back after 130 and they would see what they could do. They then seemed over joyed that they could stick near to my original confirmed booking and sit us at 140 . I was the offered the delights of a table for two bang in the lunchtime sun, no shade, or a high table at the back of the restaurant which looked like it's the regular free table as no one wants to sit there.Food was ok. I ordered a 23 Euro tuna steak salad and to be honest expected a nice piece of tuna steak but instead got fried over cooked tiny bits of cut tuna across the salad. Weird. Why you would do that with tuna unless it's to hide the fact you don't get a proper sized tuna steak for 23 euros. The rest of the food was forgettable. It was standard but expensive for standard. The good stuff:The staff work really hard running up and down beach serving over priced food and drinks to the masses and they are to be commended as they have to use those toilets too and hand out stained towels. The setting of the restaurant. It is lovely and makes you feel you special. It's just a shame the food can't be that extra special.Disappointing and would love to be able to compare it to the other clubs but didn't have the time to check their competitors out.

We came quite early (for French understanding) around 20.30 and the place was almost full but we had a reservation what is very wise to do.The food was excellent - especially the seafood plate - but the best there is the changing colors at the sunset. The only minus was the price of the parking - 10,00 € per car is quite high also for French beach - but as the French says "C'est la Vie".

Nice place to relax with pleasant finger food on the loungers and reasonable prices . Be aware that the lounger or the beds are not cheap. High season around 50€ per person and the loungers around 25€

A decent place to lounge by the sea and spend a day eating, drinking and relaxing. Lunch was good with delicious food, including a fantastic array of seafood from the seafood table. The Vol au Vent of lamb and mushroom was the real highlight of the starters and I could have had it again. My main of Fillet Steak was decent enough but nothing to shout about. Outside there is a private beach area with loungers on one side and double beds on the other. Be sure to pre book these as they get taken fast. A double bed for the day was €50 and there is drinks service available. There is also valet parking outside which is an absolute must as parking can be a nightmare on busy days. For €10 a day, it's the best parking option.

My partner booked us here for lunch after my arrival from London to Montpellier. We grabbed our double beach bed at around 10.30 and then had lunch a couple of hours later. We stayed till 5pm and oh what a lovely day.The service we received the moment we arrived was absolutely first rate, we were treated very well and the staff I have to say looked very smart and professional. The food for lunch was very good, typical south of France plage style menu but the portions were generous and it didn't make your eyes water too much when the bill arrived. I have to make a special mention of the scrumptious banana split I had for dessert, it was so good I could have eaten it again and again! The wine was nice and a good bottle of rosé whilst overlooking the Med is a true pleasure. Will be coming here next year for sure!
