Tout à fait acceptable, cuisine française basique, beaucoup de clientèle commerciale donc bon rapport qualité prix ! Ce n'est plus le cas depuis le changement de direction.

Ce restaurant/bar est toujours très populaire car la nourriture est excellente, le service est sympathique et les prix sont très bons. Nous sommes récemment allés à leur soirée d'Halloween et avons passé une soirée fantastique.

We concur with other reviews describing the restaurant as lacking character, but we were disappointed with all three courses of their set menu. The Starters looked tired and unsafe, both of the two main courses were plain, and all the desserts lacked freshness. To their credit this may be because it was a Monday evening and therefore not freshly prepared? L'Absie is a lovely small town; the view of the new town fountain from the restaurant will be nice.

Buffet entrée is well stocked and suits all tastes. Usually a choice of 2 main dishes, various desserts and cheese. Good value fixed price meal and have never had a poor meal there.

We ate here at lunchtime and enjoyed great food on the set menu du jour. The service was great and the staff were very efficient. We knew it would be good when we sat down because the restaurant was very busy with local people. Lovely food at very reasonable prices.

The restaurant itself resembles a canteen and lacks a little atmosphere but the staff are friendly and are able to converse in English. There is a buffet starter which you help yourself to and then a limited choice of main course followed by several dessert choices. Carafes of house wine are reasonably priced and you leave the establishment at lunchtime feeling like you have had a substantial evening meal.

Lunch time plait du jour is really recommend lots of food and usually choice of main meal great value for money.

Stopped atbthe hotel for an evening meal whilst staying in L'absie and found the food of a very good quality and reasonably priced. Get there early as they tend to close by 8.30
