Visited with friends, service was very good, our limited French was no problem and the food was exceptional. The vegetable soup was so good I would get on a plane just for that. definitely visit again.

The chef Patrick is very good and the food also.I would recommend lunch as the meal to go for and book a table as in the holiday period it gets busy. The evening meal is good also but cost that much more. You can sit outside if there is only two of you.The road outside is currently being redone so you have to park and walk.Works should be finished soon.

We stopped only for drinks as it was a scorching hot day and service was ending but we did manage to grab a a little food as it was closing. There were customers there who were raving about it to us. The owner was very pleasant and the small amount of food (desserts) we had were delicious so we would return for a full meal and its very popular with the locals so that's usually a good sign.Its more like a pub than a restaurant on the outside but inside it is laid out like a restaurant. Its in a nice village of Lauzun. Its not that cheap but presumably business goes very quiet in the winter months so that would explain why.

Food can be variable but is good value for money. Plat de jour and A la carte available. The chef is a Traiteur and his services are called upon for various personal and village activities;

Took the plate de jour from the menu, had a large terrine of soup followed by steak and a creamed caramel all were very good washed down with a carafe of wine, two people cost 30 Euros. Very good value, will return.

Both had entrecôte, one with pepper sauce, the other with mushrooms. We requested one cooked rare, the other well done. The meat was of poor quality, chewy, grissely. And the bien cult streak was not bien cubit. Disappointing.Nice setting, nice wine, but, hey! We're in France, they had to get something right.

We have been here many times. The menu stays the same, which is no problem as everything is beautifully cooked and we just gradually work through the menu! Entrecote steak with peppercorn sauce is best ever!

Once again the food and service was up to its usual standard I had the foie gras to start then an excellent sole meunière followed by cafe gourmand - wonderful !!
