Ma femme et moi étions à Laval en voyage d'affaires et voulions profiter au maximum de notre temps. Après avoir fait quelques recherches sur les restaurants locaux, L’esprit s’est démarqué et nous avons donc réservé une réservation pour le dîner en marchant quelques jours auparavant. Notre expérience a été excellente ! L'hôte et le chef étaient très sympathiques et la nourriture était spectaculaire. Lui et notre serveur parlaient un anglais excellent. ils ont pu nous aider à naviguer dans le menu et nous ont fourni d'excellentes recommandations en matière de plats et de vins. Pour les entrées nous avions un tartare de bœuf au foie gras, pour les assiettes principales nous avions du filet de bœuf et du canard, nous partagions une assiette de fromages qui contenait un délicieux fromage lavé à la liqueur de noix, et pour les desserts nous avions du tiramisu et un plat chocolat/caramel. Les amuse-bouche et les nettoyants pour le palais étaient très bons et le thé unique servi à la fin était exceptionnel. Nous reviendrons certainement si nous nous retrouvons à Laval à l'avenir.
Managed to get us table on a Sat night without a reservation. Very well english spoken host and waiter. Food was a travel through magnificent tastes and every single meal on their tasting menu was delicious. Well done and thanks for having us! Very well deserved 5 of 5, keep it that way!
We were seated at Chef's Table' as it was a family birthday. Great experience being able to observe the chefs at work preparing each dish before our extremely amicable waiter presented them to us. The dishes themselves were outstanding, with such variety between each one and yet they still followed-on from one another seamlessly. The overall atmosphere of the kitchen was relaxed yet focused and the sheer quality of the cookery reflected this.
From entry until exit the service is always warm welcoming,professional and yet discreet...Another fantastic meal/experience and whilst agreeing with some other reviewers that some combinations on the menu may look a bit strange? .have faith in Chef...simply sensational ! Every course a surprising conversation piece and leads seamlessly to the next...Don't visit often enough due to logistics,but already pining and planning next.
Excellent dishes, well presented and well cooked ingredients with a few pleasantly surprising taste experiences. We went for lunch and were really pleased with the whole experience. Service is good and not too slow. The place has a warm and welcoming ambiance. The surprise you get with you coffees is worth experiencing!
Went with colleagues. Entrance doesn't look inviting, so inside is a pleasant surprise. We had a taster menu. Doesn't seem a lot but quite filling. Strange flavours you wouldn't usually consider putting together, but work. Careful with the blossom and drink at the end! Keep some water handy! Cost about 40€ each. Not bad at all
Treat it most certainly was. What a gem of a find!There is absolutely nothing I could criticise about this restaurant. From the second you walked in the welcome was warm and friendly from the owner, chefs and staff. The setting was modern and clean and the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic meal. A special effort was made when they realised it was my birthday, nothing was too much trouble. We had the taster menu which was AMAZING with extra touches in between courses such as mojito ice cream and a special tea making this a perfect meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area and will certainly be returning again soon. I found it very reasonably priced and was pleasantly surprised at the price of wine, which was fabulous and recommended to us at the table.Thank you for a wonderful evening.
This restaurant is fabulous. Warm welcome, wonderful service. There are several menus to chose from at varying prices. None are cheap but this sort of quality comes at a price. There is a good selection of wines by the glass, for those of us who can't get through a bottle, at very reasonable prices. €92 for two seems very reasonable to me for 3 courses of wonderful food with amuse-bouches in between with wine as well. Highly recommended.
