The family run hotel is immaculately managed from reception through to the excellent (should be a starred) restaurant. The owner's son returned from Mayfair in the UK and set up the restaurant in 2015 and we ate there the week after he started. and felt it would be great to try it again - a wise decision. We had booked another restaurant (1*), however decided to cancel and go to the Hotel's restaurant after we saw that Antoine was still there and looked at his menu. Great menu, beautifully prepared and executed at a very competitive price. Staff were knowledgeable about the chef's food and attentive as necessary for a great evening.
Since the welcome warming and very nice place. I just was so imprest of the food 7 courses. Since the first starter to the desert was just only amazing, everything was well presented. The service was perfect with very good head waiter and this staff. Good selection of the sommelier with every dish. In general was a delightful experience.
The restaurant is simply fantastic. Excellent food, excellent presentation, excellent service, excellent chef! I highly recommend it. This restaurant should have some Michelín stars! And the hotel is also great. Total comfort in an idyllic location. Wonderful staff. I felt right at home. Merci beaucoup!
After our annual vacation at france , we always stop in the area for dinning.. this year we found that the restaurant was completely renovated both kitchen and dining room, the chef understands exactly the french "nouvelle cuisine" , prices are reasonable and attention is impeccable , I have no doubt that will be part of a recognized guide soon ... congratulations Savoy Hotel!!! Looking forward to come back!!
We should have eaten pizza from the van by the lake, as we were all too frazzled to enjoy the really 'foodie' food in the hotel restaurant. However the staff were lovely and sorted out perfect food for two small (7&8) girls from a menu that was really impressive. The wine was good and we all ate like kings in the end - not at all what I was expecting from the appearance of the hotel. There were lots of locals in the restaurant obviously enjoying meals for family occasions.
