A stylish and sophisticated restaurant, where my husband proposed to me. High quality food and service.

I loved the beautiful Cygne hotel. The owner and his wife were very charming and helpful. I was traveling with my brand new Brampton fold up bike and they had no objection to my carrying it up to my lovely room. In fact the patron helped me. My room was spotless, sunny, comforting and comfortable.

The restaurant is attractive and the atmosphere appealing. The staff were welcoming and our waitress was delightful and very helpful with any English translations required. The presentation of the food was good. So what was lacking? The flavours in the food did not come up to the standards we have come to expect in our last few weeks travelling in France. We each chose the 28 euro set menu and that may have been our mistake. That may have been a type of budget option. Usually the next price range up just offers more options but their 34 euro menu was completely different. I suggest you try this (or the a la carte) as clearly the restaurant is popular. It was a Tuesday evening in the quiet month of October but the restaurant was busy which is a good sign. Their house wine was good and good value. Suggest you give it a go if in the town but opt above the 28 euro set menu.

We ate here on two occasions. The staff we're very welcoming and the surroundings pleasant. They were very patient with our ordering as we tried to explore the french menu (but had to resort to looking at the English version!!). Good job they had a good sense of humour. The food was cooked to a very high standard and was beautifully presented. House wines were good and not expensive.I had steak at one meal and it was beautifully cooked and served with a dish of beautifully roasted vegetables, not the usual green beans that you get in France. The dessert I had was a mousse with walnut base and was delicious. The second visit I had cassoulet and my only criticism would be that the actual bean casserole was a bit on the small side. However, to be fair it does explain that this is their interpretation of the dish. Our returning twice indicates our satisfaction with the restaurant.

Restaurant in a small hotel in a small town in the Dordogne near to Les Evyes. Good food well cooked and well presented in a relaxed dining room. Best food we ate in this town. The grenouilles were excellent

My adult family had an excellent meal at this restaurant. Very helpful and friendly staff. Portions were generous. Wine list was reasonable. The lamb dish was particularly good.

Stayed over in Limeuil and often wandered in to Le Bugue, on this occasion thought we'd eat in town, ambled along and read the various menus. Wandered into the Le Cygne wondering if it was open, and presto a nice waitress popped up from somewhere welcoming us to dine. The fine weather was turning a bit threatening so we sat inside, wise choice. Service was good and the staff very friendly, the meals were ordered along with the aperitifs and the lunch experience commenced.I could get used to not living the Grab & Go lifestyle, ok service good be looked on as a little laid back, but what's the rush !Well, perhaps when the heavens did open up, there was a flurry to clear the laid tables in the garden area, but once sorted calm returned. The food was lovely, wine good, and the bill wonderfully acceptable, darn good lunch in my mind. The place looked so empty and under used, and potentially expensive, but in reality it was fine, just goes to prove, never judge by looks alone.
