On ne peut que recommander ce petit restaurant où vous serez bien accueilli tout près de la voie verte et du canal. Nous avons apprécié les plats copieux, simples et bien préparés avec des produits locaux à des prix serrés.Et servis avec le sourire sous une halle magnifique et à l'hombre bien agréable...

As with other reviewers we had been cruising the canal with Le boat. Seeking out restaurants in this area was certainly a problem, especially as our week away included a bank holiday. Years back we had eaten in this establishment so a return was on the cards, it has changed hands, the lunch was fantastic value and the food excellent, as was the rose wine. Regrettably we were told that they do not open for dinner during may, however the young lady offered to cook us a main course and bring it down to the boat yard later in the afternoon, which she did, a delecious chicken dish with orzo pasta, green beans and olives, and we had to force her to take a sensible amount of money for this service, you certainly would get this at home.

service aimable et rapide pour déjeuner seul un midi en semaine;plats copieux et bonne cuisine régionale : daube de joues de porc, frites maisons excellentes. Beaucoup prenaient des steaks, et contrairement à un avis négatif (1 *), ils avaient l'air de bien apprécier.

Ordinær god fransk mad. valg mellem bøf, fisk og and. Vi valgte bøffen smag og tilbehør ok med bøffen var lidt sej. Atmosfæren hyggelig, rostikke borde og knap så komfortable stole men hvis ikke vi var kørt til en anden restaurant den sidste dag vi var i byen havde vi spist her igen :-)

Following a walk along the beautiful canal we walked into town in search of food. This looked like the only place to eat, the town is quiet. The menu was written on a board and there were various choices. We were delighted with the food, the friendly staff and the prices. As it was a once off visit to the area we are unlikely to be back but would recommend to others in need of sustenance after a walk or cycle in the vicinity.

Il luogo vale un pasto semplice e genuino. Si può mangiare all'aperto sotto l'antico mercato in legno del 1600. Ho mangiato un'ottima insalata di canard. Personale sorridente e gentile. La bella piazzetta di Le Mas d'Argenais è in fase di ripavimentazione.
