Great friendly owner who is lively and welcoming. They do great pizza and we tried to the tartiflette which was tasty. Garlic bread for starter was a bit burnt to our liking, however the owner made up for slight loss of food quality with free shots of the local drink, gene pi, on our way out with loud music creating a party atmosphere.

I visited Maribel with 3 friends on March 2022 for 4 days and this restaurant was walking distance from our rooms so decided to check it out. I was calling for hours to make a reservation and nobody would even pick up but eventually I...managed to reserve a table. When we arrived we were shown to our table and the only waitress pretended she did not speak any English. As I speak fluent French I made the order for everyone which was: 2 entrecôtes, 2 pizzas, 1 cheese and cold cuts platter and their most expensive bottle of wine. About 10 minutes later the waitress returned and informed us they had run out of entrecôte. We found it very strange as we were the only ones in the restaurant that had just opened. We were then informed that there are some daily specials (why were we not told while ordering and we chose a slowly cooked pork in beer with potato mash and some noodles with vegetables. Another 5 minutes later we were told that they run out of potato mash !!! and our only option for a side dish was noodles with vegetables. Out cheese platter arrived but we were given no plates! We asked for some plates and the waitress brought them banging them on the table! At that point we would have normally walked out but after a full day of skiing we were very hungry so decided to stay and ordered another bottle of wine. In the meantime, 3 other tables with people that sat 20 30 minutes after us were eating their pizzas and we still had nothing served apart from the platter. Over an hour after our order, with the restaurant having only 4 10 tables full, our food arrived. The pizza was very basic but ok but the noodles and pork steak (not cooked in beer or slowly cooked as described) are unacceptably bad. We decided to finish the pizzas, pay the bill and leave. As we were walking out, the non English speaking waitress was fluent in being rude to us in English, we paid 170 EUR and left hungry. All the reviews of this place are fake, this is a pizza take away with aspirations to become a restaurant but is still very very far from it. A disgrace for French tourism! Avoid at all costs!

Had a couple of meals here during our time in Meribel, food was decent, good value kids menu (albeit a bit limited) but service was excellent. Attention, friendly and definitely worth a visit.

Recommended to us by Chamois ski shop opposite. L'Alti 16 is a great restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is efficient and friendly and the food delicious. Four of us shared some lovely tuna rillettes and then we had their tartiflette which was tasty...and not too heavy. A bottle (two) of good Gamay went down very well. The staff is cheerful and jolly. I am told by my husband that the Poire William liqueur is superb! A really enjoyable evening. Thank you to us!
