Whether you eat, or order for the collection as we did, you are for a delicious treat. The Auberge des Deux Eglises is located in Les Moitiers d'Allonne, a short drive from Barneville-Carteret, but it is worth looking for outside. The food is delicious and plentiful, mostly centered around the North African Tagine and Couscous dishes. The tagine a la souris d'agneau is slowly boiled lamb with apricots, plums, chickpeas and onion, delicate and full of taste. The couscous de l'auberge would easily feed two, so generous are the portions. Two Merguez, large portions of lamb and chicken, and a large tub of roasted vegetables! The food is not strongly seasoned, but you get a little of Kerissa if you like your food hotter. The couscous is fluffy and perfectly cooked. And if you prefer simpler dishes, they offer a variety of grilled meat with excellent frites season. Leave an hour for your order to be ready for the collection. Efficient, friendly service via the phone and personally in the restaurant.
