Great way to start an evening, this lounge is classy and exceptionally-well located in the old town (pick a seat by the rear windows, overlooking the sea).Our cocktails were great and service was good as well, we only wished our waitress would have suggested something to eat as we assumed they didn't serve food (until the table next to ours received their order and it smelled great.)
We enjoyed the terrific dinner at Le Morgan, on Friday night. Not too crowded, mostly local clientele. We enjoyed a large first course platter of mixed local Charcouterie an a salad (fresh local produce, which you can actually taste!).main course of suckling pig (excellent)for my wife and a terrific sliced and seared tuna for me, wrapped in Sesame seeds and seasoned with a basil/mint vinaigrette, We enjoyed the local red wine (slighly chilled)from Renuccci. Owner, Mathieu, is very gracious and loves to hang out with his dinner patrons and introducing them to each other. While there wasn't a musical evening that night, Le Morgan has weekly "diner musical" with local groups performing jazz and local Corsican songs. Very welcoming, worth a repeat visit. Thumbs up.
On the third day of our holiday we found this awesome,beautiful very stylish,marvellous furnished restaurant. On the remaining four days of our holiday we had lunch and dinner here, I can offer this marvellous place to everyone, who wish to enjoy good french wine and fresh food for acceptable,fair price.We would like to thank Mathieu the owner of the restaurant,the waitresses who were very lovely,welcoming and friendly with us and as our hoilday was over we were like friends, so that`s why we will visit this place for sure in the future.
We ate here twice during our weeks holiday. First night a Thursday quite quiet, food was excellent and service ok. We returned on the Saturday night wow, the place was full inside and out. The manager found us a table inside and we are so glad he did. The food was fantastic, service superb to say every table was taken. There was live music on which again was superb and the atmosphere was amazing. I had the salmon which was perfect and my other half the largest duck breast i have ever seen again cooked to perfection, still sligtly pink. You must try the chestnut cake dessert. It is on a corner but not a busy street so don't be put off. I would say prices are average compared to other restaurants we ate at, not expensive.
We found this restaurant due to the reviews of tripadvisor. However we did not understand why it is number 1 of île rousse which could be due to the food we chose (snack for lunch.) The owner is very friendly and you can have lunch even after 2 p.m but kitchen closes in the afternoon.The salad au fromage de chèvre was ok but nothing special and overpriced if you compare for example with the Corsican salad at L'escale.The tourte aux légumes however was really tasty.
Went here after we checked with trip-advisor so we had really high expectations for this dinner. Overall, really bad service, tasteless food and a waste of money. Some of the dishes from the already small menu wasn't available. One of us went to the bathroom and got stuck there for half an hour because the lock wouldn't open. There was no toilet paper and it was not that clean. Sadly all of this was a really disappointing experience.
Nothing special at all. Waited a long time for service and even longer for the food. After 2 hours we got the main course. Food was far from what we expected. Meat was dry and the gambas as well. Not worth it. There are plenty of other great places to eat at in L'Île Rousse.
