Well, this restaurant is recognized as one of the better ones in Lorgues. And they also call themselves "Restaurant Gatronomique".However, this evening the quality was a bit fluctuating. The "menu Marché" is normally a good choice with 4 dishes to choose from in starters, in main and in desserts. We had a beef carpaccio (ok) and a sort of crab cocktail with avocado. Unfortunately this was totally filled with very strong onion pieces, and there was no other taste left than strong onions. The dish was changed without problems to carpaccio. The salad to both starters seemed not to be really fresh with a lot of brown corners. The bread served was uninteresting in spite of very good bakers in town. The main dish was Entrecote (perfect, with fine sauce and fries, and this time with fresh and crispy salad?) and the other choice was a sort of chicken yakatori/skewers. This dish, which was the main dish of the day, was not made well - the chicken had never seen a grill, and it was cooked meat, not fried. Unfortunately also one of the pieces was almost raw!The desserts were absolutely fine and tasty. We had a good red from Domaine l'Estello to join our dinner. And the service was as always kind and helpfull. The price for "Menu Marché" is also reasonable, if the raw materials are fresh and they are prepared in a good way. This night we were a little disappointed for above reasons.

We had dinner at the Chrissandier on Saturday. We sat at a table outside. The staff were excellent and attentive even thought they were very busy. My husband had carpaccio of beef - delicious and then steak also delicious. I had cold pea soup which was unbelievably amazing, then lobster in an amazing creamy sauce and we both had creme brulee. A truly memorable meal - everything just perfect. They serve a very good selection of local wines which is so nice.

We visited Le Chrissandrier twice in October 2015 and on our following visit to Lorgues in July 2017 my wife and I took a friend who lives locally and names the restaurant as her favourite. We are delighted to report that it remains excellent value for money. The presentation and quality of the food are very good; there is a very reasonable range of cocktails and wines, and staff were helpful in our quest for good local organic wine. Inevitably the younger staff lacked polish, but that was compensated by enthusiasm and cheerfulness. The menu is set, we believe, on a weekly basis, which limits choice but is sensible if the aim is not to overstretch resource and focus on doing what they do very well indeed - as Le Chrissandrier continues to do. We shall be back.

You walk by and think that this has the potential for at great experience right there on the main street. I should have been warned by the massive decorations, the tourist clientel, the dog in the restaurant (owner) and so on. But I didn't. Menu looked great and wine card also very nice. Had a MENU where I could choose three courses. Melon and parma. Well presented. However the melon was soaked in water in the glass. The parma was wrapped around bread sticks and the meat looked as if it came from a wrapped supermarked container. This meal was a 2 out of 5 star. Then I had chicken. A small piece served with chips and a "thai" sauce. I looked like a street kitchen serving. It was small and there was not enough food. Again a 2 out of 5 stars. Dessert was peach and ice cream served in a glass. Topped with whipped cream from a container. Ridiculous and below any expectations. Peaches were fine - ice had melted as is was 33 degrees. Price: €34 for a menu. €28 for wine. Ended up with a €240 meal ticket. To be honest, this was the biggest disappointment and will recommend that you go somewhere else. Not a place where locals eat. So don't be fooled - go somewhere else. Lots of other nice places around main street and the water fountain area.

Nice, well prepared and traditionel French cuisine. This is the place in Lorgues if you like courses like foie gras, well prepared fish and shellfish and other traditional dishes prepared with care and respect for taste. We took the gourmet menu, which is the more expensive choice whilst the menu marche seems to be very good value for money. Well chosen selection of local wines. Attentive and still nice informal service.

I visited here on New Year's Eve. There was a set menu with eight courses and champagne. The restaurant was busy and there was a nice atmosphere. The food was very nice, especially the dessert. The food was well presented and full of flavour. You could tell it was all freshly cooked. The wine was nice too. The tables were nicely decorated with streamers, hats, balloons and more. After midnight we had a dance and chatted with other customers. It wasn't cheap but I would say it was worth the price. I'd visit again!

We had the white fish, nicely cooked and a particularly good cheese board with a nice selection. Its right in the centre so easy to walk from the big car park.
