In this area of Brittany there are a few extraordinary transport cafes. Do not be put off by the numerous trucks parked outside; in France truckers are very discerning, it would seem. You get a wonderful salad bar buffet but don't pile your plate too high as the main course will follow; normally there is a choice of 3-4 dishes. We had the fish and the chicken you get 2 veg and a bottle of wine - it's not high ABV or vintage but it's included in the remarkably low set price of 11 Euros. There is ample bread too. You also get a pudding - I chose a creme brulee which was far better than the one i returned at a top restaurant nearby! The cheese board is vast but be prepared to share it with your fellow travellers. These transport cafes are a well kept secret but you will find trackers mixed with "ladies that lunch" and professionals seeking a great value meal on the road. Worth a visit but don't expect high cuisine or luxury surroundings. Check when it is open Mon-Thurs lunch and dinner, Friday lunch only.
