Amazing setting but disappointing restaurant. Could potentially be a HIT since the scenery is just exceptionnal but not much effort are made in the restaurant. The staff is not very efficient and sometimes rather pushy. Food is average vis à vis prices being asked and you are not seating very confortably in a very busy terrace.

Visited the lovely bay but told the restaurant was booked all day even though restaurant was empty. When we called and someone spoke French they had tables available from 2pm. Generally very nice local people. However the restaurant has No Anglais policy.

If you want to discover an amazing place in Marseille go there! You are in middle of nowhere between rock and sea.In addition the food is local with homemade dishes, you will eat as a real mediterranean for sure!Native of marseille I often come to this place. The service is perfect and the staff very pleasant. This place is typically marseille because its simple and friendly . I don't know yet another place like this one in Marseille. This place is ideal to spend an afternoon with friends or family on the deckchairs and enjoy the sea.Je tiens à remercier les serveurs et cuisiniers qui sont toujours arrangeants et souriants et qui rendent cet endroit unique.MC

The restaurant is placed in a beautiful place, but the food is average and expensive. I suppose that you pay for the view. Bland and not very coutious. Shame

It is a little adventure to get to the restaurant especially at night but the black sky full of stars was definitely worth the walk through the Calanques. We were really excited to go to that restaurant as someone recommended it. Didn't start well, the waiter made fun of us for not understanding that you had to buy a whole fresh fish in order to eat this particular fish. He just brought the huge fresh fish to the table and expected us to understand what he was talking about. Said that half the dishes on the menu weren't available. Such a shame because everything else was great. Food we got was really good so yay for the Chef!

We were so thrilled to find this gem of a place. The food was very fresh, the staff were friendly to us, and not hostile in any way. The bay it's set in is just so beautiful, Access could be a problem, as the only way to get there from the car park is along a narrow path. I guess the price of the menu reflects the stunning surroundings. certainly a lovely experience for us on our first visit to this area.

I visited while in Marseille after my airbnb host advised my to check this part of Marseille. You will read about it and people will tell you about this place... but to be honest, it's a bit "meh". Depending on how you like to spend your day by the water, this can be just your ideal place (rocks and water, beautiful scenery) or quite the opposite (just rocks, no sand, pure sun, no shadow, arrogant-costly restaurants). I wouldn't make it a must-see, is no Santorini or any other pebbled-beach in the Mediterranean (even the "calanques" are also not as nice as in Malta or the Balearic Islands). About this restaurant itself, the food I had was really amazing (lobster on a bed of risotto, very well prepared and extremely tasty), but you have to be very careful when you order. When the waiters come, after hearing what you want based on the menu, they will suggest something that sounds like what you saw on the menu, but that is not exactly what's stated on the menu. So by the time you get the bill, you realize you got the very very expensive version of the dish you wanted.Apart from that. Important things to know if you really want to visit this place:1. There is an air of restriction and limitation in this place. You arrive and you can only be at your table (or on your way to the bathroom), but trying to wander around to get pictures or so, will make them come to you and ask you to go back to your seat. Also, the lady that seems to be the owner (doing the bookkeeping inside an office in front of the register) is the most rude person ever. Just seconds after I just paid 90 euros (for 1 person, yes, €90 for 1) I wanted to go out to the terrace for a final view of the beach and to cool of under shadow, and she came yelling at me that I should not be there, I couldn't be in that place, I just needed to leave the restaurant already, as if I was threatening someone's life or... ... that was a big ruining-experience for me. The rudeness and arrogance of the person that should in principle be more service minded... anyway. 2. Make a reservation (perhaps one day in advance is enough): I did not have one but since I was only one person and arrived early enough (just as they were opening, 12:00) they offered me a table at the back, with no shadow and limited view. But all through my 2 hour stay I could see that plenty of tables under shadow, next to the water and inside were empty... in any case my one waiter was super nice so I couldn't complain much about that (until the final seconds of my stay).3. As said, they expect you to eat and leave, no wandering around to the beach and back to their property -unless you book the resting chairs laying on a lower deck, then you could come, tan, bathe, have drinks and afterwards eat... that seemed like what locals would do. Which you can inquire upon booking. All in all, pretty average when compared to all the possibilities on the south coast of Europe. If you are there, try an' enjoy. If you plan your travel, hit Croatia or Spain or Malta... better, cheaper and friendly.

Despite the very mixed comments on Tripadvisor, we had a family lunch there last week end.1st of all, the place is fantastically located, you feel like in a greek island while still in Marseilles. From the comments, we were expecting the service to be rude but I've to admit they were super friendly and reactive despite the restaurant being full. The food was very good, fresh fish & home made desserts. The bill ended up being not exactly cheap but inline with the quality of the food and unique location!
