We were going to be 7 people for an important Saturday lunch in a town that we had never visited before - and it needed to be a success. So we consulted Tripadvisor and this was the top rated place. Our it was a resounding success. We walked through the wonderful atmosphere of the Christmas Market and as soon as we arrived we knew that we had booked the right place. It's a small family restaurant that aims for and achieves a high standard. Beautiful presentation, a wonderful welcome and very good service and a family who have pride in what they do. Don't hesitate - book it!
Pause Gourmand well deserves it's high ranking on TripAdvisor. We made a reservation for lunch and were glad we did. The restaurant was fully booked. We each enjoyed the Menu du Jour. We were drawn to the Chevre chaud salad on the menu and intrigued by the Cepe' Ravioli. Entrée and Plat exceeded our expectations. We noticed that many of the regulars were having the same thing. The deserts are on a plane of their own. Both Menu du Jour were 12 Euro each plus a demi-litre of wine saw us out for 30.50 Euro. Deal of the Century.
This is a small, family-run restaurant serving wonderful food. We were fortunately early enough to gain the only non-reserved table and subsequently witnessed at least a dozen prospective diners turned away. We concluded the clientele were locals, always a good sign. The 19 Euro menu was generously portioned, and the dishes were traditional French cuisine but with clearly fresh ingredients. The different sauces for the fish and meat dishes were authentic. The wine list offered affordable regional wines. This is a good value dining experience, and reserving a table in advance is recommended.
I have not eaten at all the restaurants of Montbéliard but this one was my favourite from the ones I have tried. The food is very good, cooked at the time. I ate gambas as a starter, then a fantastic steak and finally the profiteroles. Very good. I recommend it sincerely!You should make a reservation previously to make sure you get a table.
This tiny, family run restaurant is a must. The food is superb and the service fantastic with daughter serving alongside mother and son in kitchen Food is excellent. I suggest going for the set menu. Only two options but both very tasty. Costs are good value. You must book as it is popular. Close to centre and walking distance from hotels. Great place. Relaxed, simple, lovely food and great service (French speaking only).
This small restaurant is amazing. The meal, the services, the atmosphere, everything was very good. We took the menu gourmand and we couldnt be happier. I loved the fish and dessert :) I can recommend this reastaurant to all who are searching for delicious food. P.S. Ask for the english menu if you need :)
