You cannot visit the town and not call in. Its well worth the visit. Tea in a tea pot - cream teas - a place to refresh yourself. Close to the main square and on the route to the bridge where you cross the river to the interesting part of the town books and artists etc.

Les gâteaux sont tres bon et copieux et en plus une très belle terrasse avec vue sur la cité de l écrit quand je passe. À Montmorillon je viens toujours dans cette établissement

La Terrace is a Montmorillon gem! Proudly sitting overlooking the old bridge this salon de tea also offers light lunches and wonderful cream teas and an assortment of delicious home made cakes! We always bring visiting family and friends here! The view from the terrace overlooking the Cite de l ecrit and river make this the perfect place to enjoy a glass of bubbles or tea and cake!Kim the host is so friendly and makes la terrace very special!

Le café est très agréable, les gâteaux sont délicieux et les prix sont plus qu' attractifs ! La vendeuse est également très agréable, c'est un véritable plaisir.

Super endroit, très agréable et convivial, personnel très accueillant. Prix très abordables, le chocolate slice est excellent! Les canapés sont super confortables, en compagnie du petit chat noir!

Visited here with Irish and French friends. Great homemade cakes baked by the most charming owner. Lovely deep couches to relax and chat. Quirky decoration ...great conversation piece. Definitely will visit again when in the area. What a find!!!

Une superbe vue sur la cité de l'Ecrit: le vieux montmorillonais. La serveuse est adorable. La décoration est vraiment sympa. Une adresse à recommander!!!

Actually there is not much hustle and bustle but it is a great place to have a drink. The service is superb, the view of the old city across the river is superb. They often have live music, and what I have seen of that was quite good.
