This is a very welcoming restaurant in the heart of Montolieu. It is run by a husband and wife team, who respectively perform the chef and front of house roles. Terry, front of house, is always relaxed and welcoming. The menu is excellent value. We particularly enjoyed the jarret de porc (knuckle of pork) and joue de porc (cheek of pork) main courses, and even the house carafe wine is from a good vigneron and is very acceptable. They offer a good kids menu, but maybe an ice cream offering for kids would be a good idea?

Located in an interesting village, well known for bookshops, this family run restaurant (and B&B) serves very good value meals of excellent quality all at a very reasonable price. It was recommended by the owner of the B&B where we were staying, about ten minutes away, and it was a very good choice. We would be pleased to return again, which is more than can be said for some other restaurants we have visited.

Nice comfortable restaurant with ambience. The vegetable and mozzarella tart was delicious and my chicken fricasee pretty good. i chose the wrong dessert though, the cafe gourmande was under par I'm afraid. On the whole lovely meal.

Great setting, friendly service and the lunchtime menu de jour was just right. Fresh ingredients, great flavours, clean plates. If you're in Montolieu you really should eat here. 3 course lunch with wine and a beer was around 20 euros/head... money well spent!

Had a great evening. Set 3 course with wine and coffee. Plus live music from a really good duo Dr Pickup. 30 euros each. Lovely atmosphere . Will come back again and try the full menu. English spoken and good service. Family run

We were in the area and booked a table here. The menu du jour at €23 was a steal. I had a smoked mackerel starter and duck burger that were tasty. The wife, ordered better, a courgette with Parmesan sauce and then a salad were good.Deserts are made there and a panna cotta was lush but surpassed by the strawberry tart. A little pichet of rose for €50 was excellent value. Little terrace outside and excellent service. If you are in the area, well recommended.

We were lucky to eat here as it was an 'event evening' & we hadn't booked but Terri, the owner, very kindly fitted us in, explaining that there was no menu choice that evening as everybody was having the same three courses - not a problem as we eat anything & everything. Food was delicious together with the wine, the live entertainment & all for 25 euros per person. Good friendly service & well recommended.

This restaurant run by an anglo- French couple used to be a teashop, but then became a restaurant which served really interesting and well-cooked food. This visit which we had been looking forward to was a real disappointment. The main course, stuffed breast of lamb was both tasteless and extremely tough, and the chocate cake dessert dry and frankly boring. I fear the diable has taken over from the Anges au Plafond!
