We had a late lunch here as we finished skiing early due to high winds. I had ham and cheese baguette which was the best baguette j have had in France. Had 2x 17yo who had a toasted ham and cheese dish which they loved. Followed by the biggest sundae's ever. Perfect spot for a casual lunch or drink. Also espresso coffee. Totally recommend.
This is the bar/tavern of Hotel La Samoyede, which contains Restaurant L'Atelier (which is closed in summer, sadly for us).The menu is relatively simple but the dishes are excellent - fresh ingredients, expertly cooked, with minimal fussiness. Highlights include the pea soup and rillette of fera (a local freshwater fish), and the fish and the pork main courses. There are also simpler options like croque monsieur. The desserts are superb (mmm, pannacotta :-).The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced (as far as I can tell, not being French). They also have quite a few half bottle, which suited my wife and I perfectly. And they have a big selection of spirits if that's your thing.They have a real coffee machine and the staff know how to use it - excellent.The service was excellent - very friendly and helpful.
Nous avons été à plusieurs reprises boire un verre en terrasse après le ski. Cadre sympa avec vue sur la place où il y a souvent des activités organisées en fin de journée. La terrasse est bien abritée sous une super tonnelle équipée de chauffrettes mais qui n'etaient jamais actives. Dommage en fin de journée ou lorsque le soleil est absent.
As stated in my hotel review, this restaurant is superb. We ate here most nights as part of our deal which was a set menu but we also went a la carte too, which was worth it The staff are friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. The food is of exceptional quality and for the style and nature of the restaurant in my opinion is well worth every penny. A great restaurant
Nous sommes venu pour grignoter un bout vers 18h, nous avons pris une ardoise mixte charcuterie et fromage ainsi qu'un fondant au chocolat. A 10€ l'ardoise je pensais ne pas avoir grand chose, mais au contraire, elle était très bien garnie. Je n'ai pas été déçu ça les vaut largement. Je n'ai pas remanger le soir. La cuisson du fondant très bien également, vraiment fondant. Boissons : bière aux fruits rouge et chocolat chaud très bien aussi .
