Really enjoyed dinner here. The chefs serve meals with all the finishing touches, and the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. Really nice atmosphere too and good value. Only slight complaint is the waiting staff did a very fast job of translating the menu into English so we didn't really know what all the the options were.
As a solo traveller I walked into this lovely restaurant and was offered a seat at the small bar counter at the front door where I was able to watch the chef and his team in action. The menu offers a variety and my dishes was delicious. This is a little restaurant in the old town part of nice and I loved it as it wasn't touristy.
This is my absolute favourite restaurant in Nice. Be warned that if you think you are just going to turn up an get a table you will more than likely be disappointed. We had to book a day and a half in advance and that was to sit at the bar not on a table (not that it mattered in the slightest). The kitchen runs like a well oiled machine - everyone has a job and they do it very well indeed. The fish is just sublime. All of the ingredients taste fresh and even the normal looking vegetables have something special tasting about them. I wish I could make a vegetable taste as good as their chef. This place is up there with other Michelin Star restaurants I've eaten at and you know when you can't just turn up that it must be good! I am going back to Nice next month and I will definitely book in advance to make sure I get a table - yes it really is that good! The menu is written on a blackboard and only in French which I think is great - If you cannot speak or read French they will translate..... Very quaint, very good and has gone to the top of my places to eat in Nice. My favourite restaurant in the UK has 2 Michelin Stars and it will always be Le Manior but in France it is this place.
We got the restaurant recommended from another restaurant in the area. Luckly we got a table because most were per-booked. So you should make a reservation if you want to go. The menu were written on a large blackboard in French, but the waiters spoke English very well and translated whatever we did not understand. The service in general were very good! We shared a Spanish tapas plate for starter. For the two of us it was perfect. For the main course we had one chicken with vegetables and one pasta with foie gras. Very tasteful and high quality ingredients! The food was good, service perfect and the restaurant very charming. Worth a visit!:)
We came to this restaurant as it was highly recommended in our lonely planet guide. We quickly realized that reservations were necessary and we didn't have them. Sooo we decided to go for it and arrived early for the dinner sitting, 7pm I think? So we arrived at 6:15pm. Lo and behold, other people did the same !!!! Since we were first in line to be like "we don't have reservations, can we have dinner?" we got a spot immediately on a table that was reserved for 9pm but was empty before that. SCORE!!! It was the best meal we had in our days in Nice. Highly recommend!
Great food, fantastic service, excellent atmosphere.We went in as a family but there were some couples and groups of friends. I would recommend to book in advance as it was pretty busy in the evening.I would love to return soon when I have chance. Thank you so much for having us!
