Very unique. The food was delicious, all made with the freshes ingredients. Very small homemade menu which usually means each dish is carefully prepared with thought, care and creativity...and when it was served I was not wrong. I had the duck served on a bed of cooked apples and it was to die for. My husband had the salmon. Both, cooked to perfection.....superb. The homemade desserts were also super good and complimented so well with a cup of coffee. Even the coffee tasted amazing. The host was excellent and we even got a complementary glass of her (assuming the host was the owner) grandmother's homemade alcoholic drink made with her grandmother's secret recipe. Considering everything was freshly homemade along with the creativity of each dish, service and ambiance, the price is considered good value for money. If you want to try something different from your standard tourist cuisine, then this concept restaurant is a must if you are visiting Nice. It's a shame we only discovered this hidden gem on the last day of our holiday.
Well worth a visit to this little family run cafe/deli. Coffee is yummy and the home made cakes are delicious! Perfect spot for an afternoon refreshment as they have few but well selected wines. Dinner Friday nights is to die for and Anthea is the most welcoming host and makes you feel like you are THE special guest in her home.
We were looking for the place to eat on our way for Cimiez, so we chose this restaurant. When arrived there we have been positively surprised by their specific concept (restaurant+boutique+tea room). Even we arrived before their official time for meals, they accepted to prepare our meal. Hostess (at the same time and the owner of the restaurant) is very polite, provide the best service and prepare delicious home made cakes! I would suggest to ask for their suggestion for the meal, as we got extremely delicious beaf sote spicy meal by their recommendation.
