Nice sidewalk restaurant a short walk from beachfront. Very much a locals haunt, good food , nice atmosphere, really friendly waiting staff, non touristy area, very reasonable prices. All is all lovely find and would recommend to all.

I had lunch in the restaurant, staff is not so kindly and I ordered an entrecôte milanese. The meat was NOT WELL COOKED and the pasta with pomodoro served was not good.VERY BAD PRICE/QUALITY . NOT RECOMMENDED.

Really nice dinners in Nice. Met the owner and his son that is the chef. Family own business. All local food.

L'oustaou is located on Boulevard Gambetta. It caters for visitors and locals alike. Situated on the corner, it offers indoor and outdoor dining. It has an extensive menu serving favourites and specials. Our visits here over recent years have always been good and the range of choices means everyone is happy!. From fresh fish to pizza and very tasty burgers (cooked as requested!), it is a very pleasant experience. Good range of drinks available and great coffees to finish. Staff friendly and patient, offering advice on courses and specials of the day. A few suggestions to management - turn down the lights a bit to enhance the ambiance and make it a bit more intimate. Maybe you could also lower the TV a bit - not everyone wants to watch it. Good food, friendly staff. Take a night off from the Old Town and sample some real local restaurants while in Nice. It is worth it!.

With a friend we wanted to have a short lunch: linguine carbonara;My friend found in his plate a metal piece! No one could explain how it came in!!! I thought it was a nail, but finally it was a brooch from a metallic wrist watch! No excuse, from the owner l wanted to have at least this dish off the bill without success!!!For sure we will never never go there anymore!

This restaurant was excellent. They took our party of 10 family members at really short notice for lunch. I rang 30 minutes before and they said “No problem, come on in”. Their customer service was super. The food was standard general cuisine but very good. The portion sizes are massive. I have to say that we were really pleased. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I really like this place and their Moules with Rochefour cheese. I've had a lot of different Moules over the years but never with cheese. It was really good, even better that Jockey's I think.

From the beginning everything was wrong and we should have left. But we didnt. We would sit outside and more than half of the tables were avaible. But the table for 2 persons we would like to have could only be used if we were 4 or 8 ?Bad start. The waiter was so rude during the hole evening. To be honest the food was ok (3 Stars out of 5) but the waiter spoiled the hole evening, so it can only be one Star and that is one to much. There are plenty of restaurants in Nice with great food and good service. Go for them
