I've been there last september 20th for lunch... at first I thought It was going to be a touristic (non good) italuan resraurant. Fortunately I came in... the waitress was soooo nice. I chose tagliatelle with home made bolognese sauce and the taste and the size of the dish was amazing.... mmmmm buooonooooo !!!!!!!!Muy recomendable... riquīsima pasta con salsa boloñesa (casera). Plato enooorme !!! Muy recomendable...

We arrived in Nimes quite late in the evening after a long journey, and were keen to find somewhere to get a good simple supper. That's Amore is a small Italian restaurant / Pizzeria in central Nimes and was exactly what we were looking for. As it was a Tuesday night in February it was quiet, though we could see plenty of dining areas above and beyond the ground floor space so it can probably get quite busy. The service was extremely friendly and pleasant, and the menu had all the standard Italian dishes. As we only wanted supper we just had a main course with a bottle of rose wine. My friend chose a seafood spaghetti dish and I had the lasagne and they were both delicious. They were very plentiful helpings and arrived steaming hot. The wine was good too.Despite it being quiet the restaurant had a cosy atmosphere and we happily chatted and enjoyed our meal as it felt very comfortable. The price was very reasonable and the service very prompt and pleasant. We would certainly eat there again and recommend it. It's a straightforward little place and just ideal if you are tired and hungry!

Luckily, we passed this restaurant on the way from our hotel to the centre of Nimes. It's a max 5 min walk from The Arena area, probably less.Great restaurant and food, particularly as we craved pasta after eating at various Italian restaurants in the past few days. My wife had a margarita pizza and I had the spaghetti Saint-Jaques. Both excellent dishes, freshly prepared and excellent value.Staff were attentive and friendly. Recommended.

In fact we walked past this place every time we left the hotel. It was only a few minutes walk away from the town centre but I could not be persuaded to give it a try. It looked welcoming but the street was shabby. However on our last evening in Nimes we could not find the restaurant that we had read about so my husband (ever the opportunist) finally got me inside That's Amore. Much bigger than it appeared from the outside. And boy were those pizzas good. The service was attentive too. They seemed to be genuinely interested in making sure that we enjoyed everything. The Creme Brûlée dessert (a real favourite of ours) was top notch too.We ended up having a very enjoyable and inexpensive evening. Do give it a try.

We eat here twice whilst staying in Nimes. Great pizzas, reasonable prices, hosts speak English, very popular so go early evening to ensure you get a seat.

Found by accident after wandering around the Arena. Given table upstairs as restaurant was booked with a large party. Lovely atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. English, French and Italian spoken. Menu was typically italian with antipasti, pasta, pizzas etc. Prices very reasonable and served freshly prepared from the kitchen. House red wine - great with meal. Remember portions are large. We ate the pasta au salmone, lasagna de maison & penne gratinées. Everything was delicious. Cost was €50 including drinks. Cards are accepted. Hope to visit again next time we're in Nîmes.

After trying a more famous (and expensive) place in Nimes, we were not satisfied with the Italian food until we found this little restaurant. The pasta was excellent. We had a mis-communication on one order and the staff fixed the problem cheerfully and immediately. The chocolate tiramisu was delicious (they also had regular tiramisu and other desserts). While we were there a tour group from Italy dropped in and they demolished the food they were served, which confirmed our opinion that the food was both authentic Italian and delicious. The place is very cosy and we were soon communicating with the couple at the next table, which was fun because they spoke no English and our Italian is rudimentary. It's that kind of place. We didn't try the pizza, but it looked good.

After 5 days of French food, my stomach and wallet needed a respite. That's A more fit the bill perfectly. A large pizza with several toppings was 12 euro, and the pizza was next to perfect. In addition, the wait staff was extremely efficient and friendly.
