We were staying in nearby Cangey and for the one evening we didn't eat in the hotel, we decided to try one of the local restaurants. We'd driven past this place earlier in the day and it looked like a nice garden area to eat so decided to try it. So glad we did. Perfect pizzas, really crispy base and prompt service. Superb value, give it a try if you are in the vicinity.
This restaurant was a welcome surprise after the hugely inflated prices in Paris, so if you are in the vicinity in the Loire Valley, do stop in. We couldn't speak a word of French, but we somehow communicated with the owner and ended up with a great salad, some very tasty pizza, and a really excellent bottle of local wine. The pasta dishes on the menu looked good also and were very well priced. This restaurant is a great alternative to all the fancy, multi-course meals that the French excel at, so if you are traveling near Onzain, give this place a try!
