We went to Dishny based on TripAdvisor reviews, but had a pretty poor experience. The service was extremely rushed, as if the wait staff were compensated based on how many tables they could turn in an hour. We had no eye contact, no explanation of the menu, and no "Hi, I'm Chad and I'll be your waiter tonight, Dudes". OK, so that isn't why you come to Paris, but it was so rushed as to be comical. My wife's dinner rated four stars: Shrimp Curry. The curry arrived in a small boat with lots of large shrimp, along with a plate full of rice, spinach, and dahl. The curry was delicious. I made the mistake of tetting the Plat due Jour, which had Tandoori Chicken (a dry drumstick and thigh) with virtually no side dishes. The second course was the beef/rice/tomato dish, which was dry and tasteless. I had to dump a lot of Susan's yogurt sauce on the rice to make it palatable. The waiter disappeared for long periods of time, making paying our check a test of patience. I know our meal wasn't expensive, but the combination of cigarette smoke and dry food made us wish for a different restaurant.
