in my experience, this is one of the best Japanese restaurants I visited in paris, and I make a beelin for them every time when I was in the nearby ibis Alesia-Montparnasse, paris 14eme. it is my favorite restaurant in the opposite (it is also known. as tokyo delices d’asie the place is also visited by the natives, and I have eaten there regularly in the last few years, getting its high standard. also, due to their creepy comments, I can only assume that salome 1345 reviewed another restaurant, or perhaps for a rival business (a frequent event on tripadvisor sad), therefore my motivation to put the plate straight through writing this review! tokyo offers delicious fresh food at an incredibly affordable price. my favorite meal, and also highly recommended, is a fixed price menu (menu 5, maki brochettes), which contains a bowl of nebelsuppe, followed by a refreshing california maki (a bit like coleslaw, only tastier), followed by 6 pieces sublime california maki (which I recommend to dip in the sauce sucr and the final cure is a bowl of... the house wine is also good: 50cl costs less than 5. I usually dip alone, but once with my partner, the meal for both of us, plus half a liter roswein, came just under 30. we would like to have paid twice to eat so well, and in Great Britain that would be likely what I would have to pay if we could only find a decent Japanese close, like tokio. my partner was so impressed (and it takes a lot to impress him), we ate there twice in 4 days. even if they are a bit of a noviz when it comes to Japanese eating as I was, French Japanese restaurants have this beautiful habit, appetit photos of different dishes that I find definitiw helps them choose. Also the service is very efficient, possibly too efficient by eating alone, I can be pure and out in less than an hour! but as I often hastened, that fits me well. I am surprised that tokio has not received any more praise from tripadvisor fans, so I can only assume that those of us in the knowing have preferred to keep quiet, otherwise if it became known, we would not be able to get a table there! if they like Japanese eating, I recommend them tokyo. I didn't even know I liked Japanese food until I found this place...now I love it!
