Absolutely fabtastic ! I thought the area was deffinately worth coming to for lunch on a sunny day just for the peaceful view and the lovely site. I was floored when we were served a superb three course meal imagined by the chef and served with courtesy and kindness by the staff. I rarely find a restaurant that serves better than I do at home, but frankly, the dishes were beautifuly and ellegantly presented and every course was a party in your mouth. Everything in the dish was of such exellent quality, varied and fresh. I have returned since twice and have booked for my birthday!
We were visiting friends who suggested we go for Sunday lunch at this beautifully located family run restaurant. The food was out of this world...the starter was poached egg on garlic bread accompanied by asparagus, with delicately flavoured dressing. The main course was beef that had been cooking for the best part of the day before, it almost fell apart and was so delicious, this was accompanied by spinach and creamed potatoes. I enjoyed it so much so that I asked for the recipe from Brett, their chef. Dessert was a lovely plum tart with ice cream. The views and location were stunning with a very restful ambience. Service was excellent!!
We went along with friends to Moulins first Sunday lunch of the year Well,it was well worth the wait.The meal was absolutely delicious,from the starter right through all the courses to the dessert.Our friends were amazed at getting such a meal at a very reasonable price,so much in fact that Penny our friend asked the chef,Brett,for the recipe which he happily gave her.
Visited many times, during our stays in Moutier D'Ahun, enjoyed memorable meals looking out over stunning views, inside restaurant & outsidengreat fun for children playing on playpark& messing about in the river. Always great food & great value, served with a smile. Recommend you visit if you are in the area.
We've given this restaurant several chances over the years but always come away disappointed. The chef knows his stuff and cooks well, but the service is always lacking and there is no attention to detail in the restaurant itself. Each visit we've hoped things would improve, but it doesn't.
