Plastic garden chairs outside (it was warm that day), an eclectic atmosphere, some festival lightning which you only find during birthday celebrations. But the food is so good, so tasty, and the service perfect and friendly, I would for sure go back if we were in the neighborhood.

We arrived in Podensac late in the evening, having been on the road for nearly 6 hours. The unprepossessing Les Trois Mousquetaires was the only place still open and we were 'too late' but the owner took pity on us (me, my wife and two children). We would have been happy with beans on toast, but actually we had one of the most delicious meals we've ever had. I can't not mention the ice-cream. It was the best I've ever had (and my father-in-law used to run an ice-cream business so I've seen it as my solemn duty to sample a lot of it over the years). The coffee ice-cream came with whole coffee bean in it. It was out of this world. The only snag was, I didn't sleep a wink that night! Seriously, if you're in the area, or even if you're not, check out Les Trois Mousquetaires, you won't be disappointed.

This family run Italian restaurant was recommended to us by our French host and it did not disappoint. Good food and lovely local atmosphere. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Excellent service for those of us who's French language skills aren't the best! Food was very good! Prices matched the quality of ingredients.

Sitting outside on a warm summer night. Very friendly service, even though we arrived near the closing time. We ordered simple Italian fresh homemade pasta and it was delicious. Bolognese sauce was one of the best I've ever had.

This was a very nice restaurant and the food was excellent. We sat at the rear of the resturant on a raised patio area under cover but in our opinion would have been better to eat inside. The service was excellent and the food to match. We had a three course meal and a bottle of wine for a reasonable price. If you are visiting the town we would recommend this resturant.

On our way out of the Maison des Vins I asked their opinion about Les Trois Mousquetaires. In a flash we were told, "This is our canteen." We had a table to the right of the entrance and it was a good vantage point to watch two serving staff keep about 40 customers fed and happy. We ordered from the chalkboard: two menus at Euro14 plus a glass of wine. It was delicious. The cow cheeks were braised in red wine and very tender with little gristle. A sign the chef, an Italian, has mastered the art of braising. My wife had a chicken piccata with a wonderful sauce: a reduction of cream and balsamique vinegar that was so good we got the recipe. The service is fast but you are not hurried, friendly and welcoming, the kind of "make the customer happy" approach that is difficult to find today. I had wine by the glass. It was a simple honest Graves. If we hadn't another three hours driving ahead of us I would have tucked into a second, perhaps a third glass. Except for us the clientele all appeared to be locals, even the Gendarmes who eyed my glass and smiled. You can't go wrong. Whitebeard83

We went to Les Mousquetaires for a lunch date with a party of approx 26. The food was really good, and the wine excellent. Staff were attentive and very efficient. The grounds and building it self were lovely. Wish we could have stayed there a bit longer to have a good look around.
