Nice place for a good affordable lunch with a nice view on the harbor. We enjoyed our stay here during lunchtime

During our stay in Pornic we tried several restaurants but this was the one we came back to most. They specialize in Moules Frites but there are several tasty alternates all prepared from the freshest local ingredients. Full marks to the friendly helpful staff. A great location on the harbour front next to the chateau. If in Pornic please try Le Chateau.

We arrived there around 3pm for a late lunch after flying fro, London to Nantes. Although the restaurant had stopped servig lunch, its manager offered us what we craved for: oysters and white wine! Food was delicious and the staff were very helpful. The great view over the harbour completed our pleasurable experience. Highly recommended.

We always look forward to having a meal here each time we visit Pornic. This time was lovely too. A nice new awning meant we were able to sit outside in the still glorious sunshine. We treated ourselves to the 'menu du chateau' which came with scallops and pate to start, followed by wonderfully fresh fish and a soft chocolate pudding to die for. We opted for a simple demi pichet of white wine (Muscadet, I think) and some fresh water. Watching the sun twinkling on the sea in the bay around the chateau was great and will set us up for the winter ahead.. for a while!

We visited this restaurant during a recent visit to the area. We were celebrating my parent's 45th wedding anniversary and both their birthdays during the holiday. As we all love shellfish this restaurant was an obvious choice - beautiful setting too! However, the service was awful. My parents ordered one of the fish platters, my daughter and I ordered Moules-frites and my son and husband ordered steaks. Our meals were served to us in dribs and drabs over a period of two and half hours. None of us ate at the same time. The food was lovely when it arrived but the service was horrific! We were offered free deserts as compensation, but the meal was truly spoiled by lengthy delays. We never got the bread or water we asked for and we left genuinely disappointed. This restaurant is not cheap either - its not worth it. Steer clear!
