Disappointed it's 8.40am shops been open since 7am and I'm being told I need to wait 15mins to have today's fresh bread. Subway eat fresh I'm disappointed.

While in the area we make an annual pilgrimage to this real treasure in the heart of a small rural town. It is quietly tucked away with a beautiful garden and the Belge couple who host you are always welcoming and enthusiastic about their passion for food, wine and Belgium beer. This year we were a large group of over 30 including children who enjoyed playing in the extensive garden while nothing was too much trouble in looking after and accommodating all our wants and needs. The food simple, stylish and classic with a Belgium twist. With a helpful recommendations from the extensive wine and Belgium beer list. My only suggestion would be to maybe experiment with some new dishes on the menu as I believe it has not changed in all the years I have visited. A real gem and a must to visit if you are in the wider area of Saumur/Fontevraud/Montsureau.

Marc and Andre bring an authentic bit of Belgian cuisine to the Loire. Good meal at a reasonable price. We were able to sit out in the garden, but inside also had a nice ambience. The menu is not extensive foodwise, but we had no problem finding something to meet our tastes. The extensive selection of beers was a bigger problem, but Andre was a great guide.Probably not somewhere to go out of your way to visit, but if you are nearby you won't be disappointed.

We visit this restaurant every time we visit the Loire and its a treat we always look forward too. It may be a little off the beaten track but we'd recommend it to anybody as the food never fails to impress.

We visited last week and I can honestly say that any other restaurant will now have to beat this. The restaurant is in a pretty and quiet location and within minutes of where we were staying... I would have driven miles to get here though. The service from beginning to end was awesome, they made us both feel like we were the centre of the restaurant. The food was absolutely stunning, to the point where if there are no Michelin stars I don't know why... Thank you to you both for a wonderful evening which also ended with fantastic off the cuff sing song. I would highly recommend anyone visiting France to go sample this wonderful restaurant. Try the lamb cutlets they were to die for....

My wife ,our best friends, and I were told about this gem of a restaurant byLoic & Caroline from Chateau de Tournay . We did not have reservations but OMG what a lovely dining experience ! The food was excellent, the multitude of Belgian beers to chose from and the made in house chocolates were absolutely to die for ! The ambience was superb . We highly recommend breaking bread with friends or family at this diamond in the rough !Dr. Steve & Michelle Pillow and Dr. Tim and Lori Johnsonp.s. Our visit was in June 2013 & I am embarrassed it has taken this long to praise this place. We would visit again in a heartbeat ; We would buy chocolates for ourselves but also small boxes of these delights would have been a real coup as gifts as we traveled through France visiting some of Michelle's family !Don't miss it !

We were staying just down the road from this restaurant and were able to walk to it. Would not have mattered this is well worth the drive from wherever you are staying. The restaurant/property is beautiful with a wonderful garden. They even have a couple of rooms to let if you want to stay here. The food was delicious and Andre, chef and owner is a gracious host. The wine we had with dinner was a perfect match. Andre also gave us excellent suggestions on wineries to visit. After w e completed dinner we realized we had forgotten to order oysters. To solve this problem we returned two days later just to sit in the garden and enjoy some fantastic oysters straight from his tank and some cremant. Go and enjoy your evening with Andre!!

We visited Tresor Belge recently whilst staying in Pouancy. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and has a wonderful garden in which you can sit to enjoy your dinner.Andre, owner and chef was a charming host and went to great lengths to ensure we made a good choice, his recommendations were excellent. We started with Belgian herrings which my husband thoroughly enjoyed, my choice was Gambas biere aux framboise, which was delicious. We both enjoyed the same main - Homard huile d'olive casetelas, again delicious. Dessert was Crepes Suzette, one of the best I have tasted. With wine and coffee the bill came to 142 euros, this wasmore expensive than any other meal we had during our two weeks in the Loire but it was truly memorable and Andre a wonderful host.To be recommended for a special occasion.
