Wonderful experience. Great outdoor garden dining. Delightful dinner with a party of 6- Eclectic menu, Octopus, Suckling Pig, Great Pasta, Busy on a Monday night, only 2 servers but they made it seem like we were the only table there. Will go back often when I am in the area.

An excellent starter of calamares tentacles, garlic and goodness knows what, also lovely mashed aubergines...very good main courses of duck breast, and i had delicious rabbit with tomatoes and garlic. BUT the portions are far too big, and the waitress offered "doggee bag". Catering a lot for the Brits, the service was efficient to the extent of being brusque, not prepared hardly to discuss what we might eat, and I speak good french. Verging on patronising? I don't like that. The boss, who is obviously the Sardinian and very fat and overweight without being jolly, was actively grumpy. Does no one smile in this restaurant? It was packed, yes, many Brits in their socks and sandals. The food, if the portions were smaller, I would rate as very good, and service with a smile hurts no one.

Recommended for our group to give it a try. All have reasonably sophisticated palates and have eaten in many establishments. This one rated right there with interesting cuisine - primarily Italian. Quaint decor in restored medieval cottage lends itself to the dining experience. Service was average but then were busty with minimal staff but DON'T arrive early - they won't let you in even if its raining - but we are in France. Just laugh it off and enjoy a unique dining experience

Recommended by the owners of #Villalafage (Bournel) we had lunch here with our 2 boys of 10 and 13 years old. It was fantastic and delicious with kind waitresses. As if we had our holiday in Sardine! When you nearby Pujols, have a stop! Part of the lovely food in Villa Smeralda, Pujols is a lovely village too!

We didn't believe all of the bad reviews on Tripadvisor about this odd Sicilian restaurant in France. Big mistake! We tried it with friends. Our table was dirty, the decor unappealing and the lavatory dirty. The menu is breathtakingly complicated and we simply didn't know what to order. The service was slow. We weren't offered an aperitif and thereafter we had to 'drive' the service. The dishes here arrive collectively. By that I mean that if 3 people on the table order a particular dish it all arrives on one plate! Bizarre. The food was decidedly average and very overpriced. The bread was good but that was it. The ambience is non existent. The 'rock' music was totally out of place in such a lovely French village. This was the most disappointing meals I've had in 11 years in France and I do not recommend this restaurant. It's very expensive and not good value for money.

If you are anywhere within a 1 hour drive of Pujols you owe it to yourself to visit this charming, excellent restaurant. There were 5 for Sunday lunch: 3 live in France, 1 from England & 1 Canadian/American. It is our favorite restaurant in the region. All the food was supurb. Ask for Jeremy Feilles.

A coupe de champagne to start proceedings with a thin slice of toasted tuna, then onto the langoustines which were superb. The main course was a whole pigeon slow roasted so it melted in your mouth with sweet potatoes. The finale was the Creme Glacee, a wonderful end to a great lunch. Coffee was served with homemade lemoncello to round off proceedings. A well balanced and very relaxed luncheon to celebrate St. Valentine's Day. The wine selected was an excellent choice and went well with the meal. Another enjoyable visit. Thanks to the chef and staff for making it a special day.
