The wait for the food was late. We ordered 1 kid burger meal, one duck, one chicken and one medium cooked entrecôte. The kid burger took 25 minutes and was the best meal out of the lot. The rest of us .. It was closed to 45 minutes before we got the duck and chicken meal. The canard was good( can't get it wrong it's French) but the chicken was dry. The entrecôte was the longest wait AND THE worst disappointment out of the the lot. It was well cooked! So we requested for a replacement the second one didn't take that long to come but out of all the steaks we had in France for the past 4 years this has to be the toughest steak ever. Pink in the middle as we wanted it to be ... Unfortunately it is also all gristly. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless it is a better option than McDonald. In fact Mc Donald would have been a better option at least you know you're getting what you're expecting.
Excellent. Un groupe d'amis s'est arrêté pour la nuit à Rennes en route pour une semaine de pêche. J'ai séjourné à l'hôtel Ibis et j'ai marché 100 mètres jusqu'au restaurant recommandé. La nourriture est cuite sur un gril à bûches ouvert. Le menu est vaste. La viande était cuite à notre goût et dans l'ensemble la soirée était tout simplement excellente. Mari et femme dirigent l'établissement. La femme a fait la recherche qui se trouve au restaurant. Le service était rapide, tout comme le moment de la nourriture. Même si nous avions choisi la nourriture dans le menu français, on nous a proposé des menus en anglais. Je recommande vivement cet excellent restaurant.
Passing through Rennes on a weekday with my wife, we stopped at the Courtepaille for lunch. I ordered the marinated chicken and my wife ordered the beef flank steak. We were offered a bowl salad whilst our meat cooked on the wood-burning grill in the middle of the restaurant. I was very satisfied with my dish which was very succulent and tasty. My wife was slightly disappointed with her beef. Service was quick and efficient and we weren't left waiting between courses.
Nous nous sommes arrêtés à l'hôtel ibis pour la nuit lors de notre voyage de retour au ferry. Cet endroit nous a été recommandé par le personnel de l'hôtel et je ne saurais trop le recommander, le personnel était très sympathique et n'aurait pas pu être plus accueillant, la nourriture que nous avions était vraiment savoureuse et cuite à la perfection. C'était une soirée vraiment agréable et relaxante avant de partir pour le reste de notre voyage de retour.
