We had a nice beer at La Guingette, and on a previous visit we had a pleasant enough evening meal here. But, as a father of a nearly-two year old, the key to visiting Lulu Parc is the kids playground next door. It's not cheap to get in - around €30-€35 for 2 adults and 1 child. But we were there with friends all day (from around 11am to 6pm) - and the kids didn't want to go home! There are around 25 different amusements for kids - ranging from swings and sandpits to water slides and trampolines - all marked up for appropriate age ranges. There is also a little animal farm and mini golf. The food from the cafeteria at this part of the site was as expected - moderately priced, moderate choice, moderate quality. It helps if the weather is good because everything is outside. But this was a highly entertaining day out for the children.

Efficient service (Pierric was very good). Booking necessary when we visited. My husband and 2 boys enjoyed it too. Simple food but plenty on the plate (share a starter and then have your main meal). Lovely setting (on the river Loire). Great music and dancing if you fancy it.

Not my cup of tea - recommended by hotel but not really our idea of a nice evening... Noisy, plastic cups for drinks, lots of kids and groups .... Games and dancing: maybe fir young families and youngsters!

La Guinguette de Lulu Parc on a summer day is buzzing with people, consuming grill food, brought by smiling staff. We were there for lunch, thus missing out on the guinguette music and dancing in the evening. Really good food.

Lulu Parc is unique: a riverside concert venue, restaurant, and amusement park that feels like you've gone back in time. We ate lunch there on a very rainy Monday in June, after biking all the way from Amboise. It was worth the detour to see the place, though I imagine it's more festive on a sunnier day or when the live music is going on. Our seafood was also excellent. It's not high cuisine, but it's hearty and filling. A novel and entertaining experience!

We were staying in the Art Hotel opposite this venue and were attracted by the music booming across the road. The venue runs along side the River Loire and is a play/recreational area with various rides etc. From the signs I also believe there is a campsite within the grounds. There was a dance in progress to piped music/backing tracks in the under cover dance area which was full of people. Three was a man and woman singing along to some of the songs. Good atmosphere and the dancers were certainly enjoying the experience. It looked worth a visit so we thought we would sit, have a glass or two of wine, have a meal and enjoy the evening. Mistake. You cannot sit at an empty table in the outdoor restaurant, and there were quite a few around dance floor with no obvious sign to indicate the were reserved. Instead you have to book at a kiosk adjacent to the bar areas. We arrived at 8.30pm and had to wait till 9.15pm before being seated. We passed the time sat by the river with a bottle of very average white wine at 18 euros a bottle. Suggest you drink beer. When we were given a table, the end of a bench with shared with a French couple, a waitress arrived almost immediately, and took our order, Caesar Salad and Salmon Steak, which we intended to share. The food arrived within a couple of minutes of our order and so was obviously pre prepared. The Salad was full of processed sliced chicken and very large, enough for two. Not the best but passable. The Salmon Steak, served with French Fries, was well cooked and was enough for two to share. Both portions were ample but the food was at best average and with two bread rolls the bill was around 40 euros. We never finished the wine...it was that bad.I can best describe the experience as similar to being at a BBQ where the hosts food is passable but the atmosphere created by the people around you made up for the shortcomings in the food. There was a park area with a large number of families enjoying the amusements and there was a separate take away kiosk selling take away food and fries.Parking did not appear to be a problem, we only walked across he road, and this looks a great venue for families with children not too concerned about the dining experience.Would we go again. No. An experience, but not one that we intend to repeat.
