I went there in the middle of the summer, we were invaded with mosquitoes throughout the meal, the restaurant being located near a pond. The reception of the waitress' manager was the coldest, we felt like we were bothering her. However, the kitchen is simple but qualitative, very good fish and meats but desserts are not exceptional (glazed cuts. )
We enter at 9:00 pm, only 2 guests in the room, the kitchen boss, after 22 minutes wait at the table, our order still not taken...We prefer to leave the hotel to go to dinner in front.A customer tells us but we have to understand it it it is all alone, our answer but you are only 2 customers.
The last restaurant we came across in our wanderings around Rochefort and just what we needed. It was still early but the restaurants had just started to fill up and this one had a nice sounding menu, was good value and had plenty of fish and seafood choices. They did an enormous Fruits duMer which we watched a couple plough through, a bit of a challenge.The only waiter was suberb, really attentive and amusing, but worked really hard to keep it all going. The food was really excellent, great seafood and fish and a reasonable carafe of wine. Great value and good entertaining dining in a well laid out restaurant.
