We had a lovely meal although having eaten the night before for the same money but having had a much nicer experience I guess it was never going to match up.The food was fine but the seating was a little unstable, it took us a while to get the table to sit a bit better, although it was not straight at all, and my seat felt like it was going to fall apart !!!! Apart from that it was a good enough meal, but not as nice as one we had had up the road the night before for the same cost.It was £180 for four of us for three courses and wine, which isn't bad.

We were staying just outside Apt and travelled in the evening to see the fabulous village of Saignon. We climbed to the top of the rock and enjoyed views of the surrounding countryside. As the sun began to set we headed back through the maze of pretty streets and happened upon La Maison de Solveig. There were four in our party and we all enjoyed our dinner, the atmosphere was fabulous. We chatted to others who were eating at different tables and it was a magical end to a wonderful evening. Though we sat outside the interior of the restaurant looked very cosy and welcoming also. Highly recommend a visit. We were there at the beginning of September so tourists were thin on the ground so probably best to book if visiting in high season.

Bijou and welcoming set up. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice outdoor eating area under cover of grapevines. V relaxed and far from stuffy. Great for an early evening family meal (get there for 7ish as it soon fills up). Menu fairly narrow but what they do do is freshly made, tasty and a nice alternative to typical French Gastro. Salads with a twist, curried chicken kebabs, tagliatelle with homemade olive tapanade- all good. And the local organic Rose v nice. & the pannacotta mmmmm (def enough for sharing!)Nothing in Provence is 'cheap' so you can still expect circa €15-17 per main course but would much rather pay that for this experience than be trapped into eating something unfilling and uncertain.

We visited this restaurant three times in our week in Saignon. We found the staff very friendly with a good sense of humour, despite the fact that we're not great French speakers and their English was not much better. The food was tasty, fresh and of good quality, though understandably the menu was limited as this is a small restaurant in a small town.Nevertheless, though it's not a traditional French restaurant, we enjoyed our evenings here and would recommend it.

We have been coming to Solveig for many years. Wonderful, small restaurant with friendly staff and gracious owners. We never been disappointed with any of our choices. The food is fresh and wonderfully cooked and presented.

After asking if they were still serving at 8.50pm (it says 9pm outside) I sat in the outside area. There was a large table next me and I assumed they had already been served. After 15 minutes no one had come to my table and then the table next to me when in to get there own menus. As there were at least 10 people i saw little chance of getting served and left however as this is a small village with only a few restaurants i soon discovered that most had stopped serving and so resorted to the pizza van in the village car park which was actually delicious!

Absolutely a nice and cosy place and that's why we booked diner here today 26 July 2015 (3 adults, 4 children age 15,13,7,7). Two of us had terrible gamba's (waiter said we were the second group complaining about them!), with even 4 hairs included, an ok entrecote, two ok chicken brochettes and three ok salads as starter (but nothing special, no phantasy whatsoever). The youngest kids just had French fries and bread. We had one bottle of red French wine (€19) and some drinks. Had to pay €196 !!! Waiter offered one (!) free cup of coffee as compensation for the bad gamba's. Never go here!

We ate here twice during our stay in nearby Bonnieux having spotted the restaurant during an evening walk around the village. Saignon was probably our favourite village and this restaurant is just off the attractive square. There is a charming courtyard where we were lucky enough to get a table on both occasions. They don't seem to do many covers in an evening so booking advised and it does make for a leisurely meal. The food was delicious and the service very good - the young man who served us was charming.
