typical French run family hotel, recently went with a school trip, good size rooms can accommodate a whole family and single rooms some with a sea view, Food was good and varied, this is a good hotel as a base for visiting Normandy beaches and attractions plus it's only 200 yards from the beach bonus recently read some people didn't like it and had issues with entry, the back gates are locked every night so nobody can get in, We had no such problems.
I recently spent a week in the HOtel De Normandie with a school party and my god i have never been so disgusted in all of my life, don't get me wrong the staff were welcoming and pleasant but wow, it just was appalling. Firstly, there was no porter service so we had to carry all of our luggage up steep stairs by ourselves. Secondly, the rooms were dark, dismal and damp. The beds were uncomfortable, most of the plugs did not work, there were no amenities, like tea or even a kettle! Furthermore the En-Suites were ridicuously small, damp, there was no shower holder, our shower curtain was broken, our extractor fan did not work so our towels became damp. Also, the food was inedible, the owners had two dogs with had free reign of all of the hotel, its grounds and more importantly, its kitchens! Each student had to pay £300.00 for the coach journey and the hotel, the money was not a problem, however, the hotel and ALL of its contents were, this was my version, and many others, version of hell. DO NOT STAY HERE. EVER.
Recently spent a few days at Hotel de Normandie with a school party. The owners and staff were very pleasant and looked after all of us very well. However, if you are expecting the rooms to be plush, well decorated and well furnished........then you will be disappointed. For a school party it was ideal but for anybody else wanting a standard hotel holiday it would not be my first choice of somewhere to stay.
form in the deck, shower and wc. a part of the deck did not begin to break up with any force and a metal part almost met someone. haare in the food, how dog was in the kitchen. unwashed cutlery and from date desserts. non-sort vegetarian, vegan and...gluten options and nuts were on desserts when we specifically asked them not as humans were seriously allergic. form in food and still raw. stains and blood in bed. baths flooded and no efforts were made to clean them. also served a drink. bad hygiene overall and would not recommend to stay.
we came to the hotel on a school trip and were extremely disappointed. first the rooms were disgusting. there were spots on the walls, bed and lampshade. there were mold on the deck, shower and wc. the window bar and the rockingboard were. neat and covered with dust. the shower flushed the floor and everything looked unclean. eating was almost useless. we stayed for three nights and in the run it became worse and worse. the chips were cooked from frozen and the chickens were hard. there were haare in the food and most of the food was either cold or uncooked. the cute was dirty and looked like she had never been clean. in a night the vegetarian meal was a teller of the cousin. the pudding was from the date and had nuts when we expressly said no sweets when we had a person with us severly allergic to them. also in a room collapsed the deck almost on someone bed. overall we were very disappointed and would not recommend staying in this hotel.
we were there for days with our school. the rooms are shut down, old splashy and simply disgusting. we had no curtains or roller shutters in our room so that it was bright at night. the room wasn't clean when we were there. popcorn under the...bed of the last people. the food was discouraging. we found haare on some of the food and none of us ate it hardly because it was not appetit or nice. our freends deck broke a little together while they were in their room. there were dogs that roam around and in the kitchen. the bathroom was cumsy, had holes in the room and just to distinguish. they have not chosen vegetarian and glutan-free foods and gave food in the desert when we did not ask for any nuts, as the people are alergistic. they looked at the staff except the eating time and it wasn't the kindest staff. there was no hygiene and I would not stay here again and would not recommend it at all. it was terrible
