Do not be put off by the entrance being off a public car park, or the bare metal frames of the awnings, which, presumably come out in the summer months. On entering you will find the surroundings very “country” with various cooking utensils etc adorning walls and ceiling. We normally associate such décor as rather tardy and usually dusty, however, not so on this occasion: everything sparkled. The restaurant appears to be run by a husband and wife team, wife front of house, and husband in the kitchen. We enjoyed smoked salmon, and a trio of foie gras for starters, both very well presented with crisp and interesting salads, followed by filet steak and lamb shank. The main courses were cooked to perfection and it was clear that the ingredients were of the highest quality. We were staying nearby at HPB St Simeon and will definitely be going back on our next visit.
