Fantastic setting lovely food great service can't really say any more oh and the local rose wine offering was great too, don't know why people don't recommend it more, obviously they are French

This was new discovery! Beautiful setting by the sea. Wonderful food and friendly attentive service. Make sure you try the olive oil. Artisanal local product in by Jean Marie, who is also the Chief of the Port. Best olive oil I have ever had. Available in small "local products" store nearby. Will enjoy at ho,e when we return.

This is one of Corsica's real hidden gems. A little seafood restaurant tucked out of sight from the rest of the hustle & bustle of busy St Florent. The superb menu's fresh seafood is served by very friendly staff in a setting that will absolutely take your breath away. With Corsica's mountains dropping into the sea on the left as the sun sets in front of you, there really is no better place to be! My wife still thinks it was THE BEST sunset she's ever seen.

We are in Saint Florent for the week in a fantastic villa so are doing a lot of our own cooking. Tonight however we ventured out in search of a quick bite. A couple of other places we tried were full, then we stumbled upon La Marinuccia... An incredible stroke of luck. First, they were really attentive to our daughter's coeliac/gluten-free requirements, serving her a simple grilled seabass with potatoes and a salad - delicious! We ordered and loved the carpaccio of octopus, the oysters, and the linguini parlourdes (vongole). Really well executed and attractively served - especially the octopus and oysters! Our delightful waitress also arranged for a simple special spaghetti and tomato for our two other daughters to share. Wine was top notch and reasonably priced too. Setting is magnificent with beautiful views across Saint Florent bay - and tonight we had the treat of watching the huge lightning storm from our front row seats on the terrace over the lively sea. All 5 of us fed and watered for €118 (including excellent wine, water, and juices for the kids), plus of course a very well earned voluntary tip for our lovely waitress. Definitely recommend! Thank you La Marinuccia,

Went with my wife about 2 weeks ago. I had ravioli which was excellent and my wife had duck breast which she really enjoyed. Puds were nice too. However the service whilst polite died not add any atmosphere and we were struck by a plague of small flies about half way through the meal. Not the restaurants fault but it didn't help matters.

Having had a memorable (possibly one of the best meals ever) meal here 10 years ago we were curious to see if it was still good. The settings is one of the best in St Florent. The steps to the restaurant lead off the main square where you are then almost at sea level. The terrace which overlooks the bay & setting sun is magical. Because of it's position it can get busy so we decided to book; however on this evening it was pretty quiet. The 2 young waiters were very attentive & though their English was minimal we managed to communicate OK.The starter of soupe de poisson was one of the best and cost €14.The fish for the mains is priced at €7/100g so you need to be careful that being given a monster fish doesn't send you into debt. As we both wanted the Sea Bass the waiter bought us a fish to check before it was cooked. He was then able to tell us the price in advance-in this case 900g = €63 between us. It was simply cooked & served with incredibly tasty earthy jacket potatoes and mange touts. There was also a small jug of minty hollandaise on the side. The citron meringue tart at €9.50 was good too.For me the 'spoiler' was my dessert. I chose a coup colonel sundae. It was 2 scoops of lemon sorbet doused in vodka (€13). As there was so much vodka (I may have been a fire risk!) the alcohol was making the sorbet disintegrate into slimy egg white which was very unpleasant. My choice of the 'wrong' pud definitely spoilt it for me. Otherwise it was very good. With a half bottle of rose the total bill was €120. By no means a cheap dinner but not quite perfect. It would however not put me off from returning.
