We were greeted and shown to a table with a wonderful view over the gorge and were promptly served with a varied plate of tapanade and sausage with a welcomed jug of water. We ordered a demi of white and waited a short while for the bbq food which tasted wonderful and there was lots of it. A large lamb chop, sausage and gammon severed with salad and fries. Then followed a wonderful ice cream. Cost for 2 of us 40 euros. They have been there for 25 years and we were pleased to be able to return and have the same high quality service and food. Thank you Le petit jardin for letting us re live the memory of a special day we shared 20 years ago so pleased to find you still there !.

For a flat price, a little under $20 U.S., you are may eat as much as you like of salads, fries, grilled meats, and desert. Drinks are extra. The restaurant was very busy the night I was there. Considering the very basic nature of the food, I found the price a bit high despite the at-will offer. But the formula might work for you and your family (much lower prices for small children)

Drawn in by how pretty the restaurant was and the mist spray for the plants on a hot day. After the initial jokes about a group of vegetarians choosing to eat at a grill predominantly serving meat we were sat at a table by the very friendly and funny staff. There isn't really a menu you just chat with the waiter and he keeps bringing out new dishes until you can't eat any more. All very fresh, locally produced and well presented produce, couldn't have asked for a nicer place. Shocked when we got up to pay and it was all so cheap!

We happened to stop here for lunch. The owner was very friendly. Helped my English speaking sister feel comfortable instantly. Great food. Large quantity- all you can eat. Excellent desert (bkaed appled with ice-cream).. Will surely return!

The moment we stepped into the restaurant my husband was shouted at to put his phone away. The waiter making far more noise than my husband was by quietly talking to our son. As this was our first (and last!) visit to this restaurant, I don't think it would have been too much trouble to quietly point out the restaurants 'no phone' policy. Menus were then handed out which rather than giving you a choice of food merely informed you of what you were about to be given to eat - along with a list of other things this restaurant was against.... Namely all foods considered American. Tomato sauce, cola drinks and Mayonnaise?????? For your information - owners of Le Petit Jardin - Mayonnaise hails from Menorca and is very simple to make from very healthy ingredients and which many of our friends here in France make on a regular basis. The first course arrived - a very hard roll which was infused with garlic butter and had some form of shredded meat on the inside. This was passable, if a little dry. Next a platter of barbecued meats which consisted of two types of sausage (OK) , some lamb chops (very tough) One piece of beef for four people which I didn't get to try but am told this was also tough, a few pieces of ham, a wonderful salad and some chips which even our French friends considered to be McCains! Dessert was a baked apple and ice cream (OK). The final kick was that this restaurant doesn't take any form of card because they refuse to pay bank charges. They do however offer you the use of a bike to enable you to get to the cashpoint! The older staff were rude, unpleasant and surly. Not somewhere I would recommend to my worst enemy, let alone my friends.

Great place, embraces simple value of good food at a fair price. Traditional BBQ preset menu with local beer and wine. Made so welcome, difficult wife with food allergies ,no problem! Recommend this for a fab lunch with great views, very relaxed.

We had been told that it was an idyllic terrace overlooking a lovely gorge and with wonderful grilled food. It is indeed a terrace but the view is somewhat spoilt by thick brambles which intrude onto the outer tables. The owner said "we like fun people", there was a waiter with a grey pony tail bringing buns with left over meats in them and some mashy vegetables, ratatouille etc, near very basic meats. No chicken, no steaks. A bit hippyish, clientele not of the cleanest.
