Macadam Caffe Réserver une table

I walked in here with low expectations as I wanted some local seafood and our host wanted to try this place out. Ordered a burger not really expecting much and I was surprised with the quality, quantity and value. My rossini burger had a nice piece of foie gras that I was not expecting based on the price of the burger. The chevre salad was full of pieces of ham and had quite a size. Very glad I got to try this place out.

Serves one of the best Burger with their own signature sauce. Serves fantastic local beer too. Restaurant is contemporary with outside sitting. Excellent service. One of the must whilst visiting St Jean-De-Luz.

Lovely welcome, choice of dishes for vegetarians....and for a happy carnivore husband! Buzzy atmosphere, modern quirky interior and excellent food! A rarity to find anything for a vegetarian in St Jean de Luz...having tried and then found this restaurant...will return each time we go thru!

Burgers were excellent! Reason for 3 star rating is the tiny amount of ham on my salad and the small portion size, I am not a big eater either! Service was friendly, ideal for children, seems to be popular with young families probably because of the nature of the menu. Wine was very good.

A lovely find in St Jean. Fresh and funky. The service was prompt and cheerful. No looking down at the English speaking Australians. I had the Chicken burger with cocktail sauce, very fresh and creamy. My husband had the Big Lebowski delicious.Very reasonable price. A must do when your in St Jean.

We stopped for lunch here today in weather so foul shares in Ark builders went through the roof. What a pleasure then to find Cafe Macadam. Great food, good music and attentive but not overbearing service. Just right for us.

I have eated at Macadam several times over the past few months and have not been disappointed by the food. The burgers are great as are the woks. This is also one of a handful of places that offer main course size salads - something I have a difficult time finding in France. One of their main specials (plat du jour) is fish and chips for anyone craving some comfort food from the UK.The place is on the small side and is usually busy so I definitely recommend booking a table in advance. Service is friendly but often slow so plan to enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner and avoid if you are in a rush.

Good quality burgers and Illy coffee - what more do you want at lunch-time. Friendly staff, good service. This place will do well!
