We visited this lovely campsite in our motor home in March. The choice was very limited as not many campsites in France open until later in the year. We wanted somewhere that was walking distance into St. John de Luz, and this was perfect, being about 45 mins walk along a very nice path along the coast. The site itself is split into three parts. We found ourselves at the furthest most part of the site, but were not disadvantaged in any way as there was a number of shower and toilet blocks around the site. Free wifi over all of the site was a great advantage. Pitches were all grass but firm and well drained. Caution needed on some pitches adjoining a ditch as we saw one Motorhome reverse down one.....open your eyes and check first will keep you out of trouble ! A nice bar lay across the road from which spectacular sunsets could be observed. Not sure if the bar is anything to do with the site. Beach was shingle with a huge surf. When going in high season we suspect the access roads would be chaos as they are narrow and the locals drive like lunatics and abandon their cars rather than parking properly. The positives for this campsites are the location, beaches and access to St. John de Luz, Biarritz and the Spanish border. Nicely kept site with good facilities. Recommended.
