I am shocked to read the review from an Irish tourist, which is the complete opposite of our frequent visits here.Our most recent visit was last week, and the food and service were as good as ever. The chips are exactly to our taste. Home made, not frozen. The restaurant is always packed with French people, who enjoy the good value lunchtime menu.May I comment in response to the negative review that this is a very popular restaurant catering to French people, usually on their lunch break, who eat what is normal in France. Therefore, do not expect additional vegetables e.g. peas with your chips and salad. You can always ask for extras if you want them. It is normal in France, except maybe at places catering for foreign tourists, to keep your cutlery for two courses. Leathery steaks may well be the result of a customer insisting on " tres bien cuite", ie overcooked. When we once asked for this, the proprietor persuaded us to go for a slightly rarer, although not bloody, steak and it was great.Everything about this restaurant is very much the way we like things. If you want to eat as you do at home, don't come to France! Or maybe Macdonalds would be your best option, no cutlery at all.
After a long journey from the south of France I asked the manager where we were staying for a recommendation. He recommended O Commerce. We went full of expectation of a nice meal and a treat after our long journey. The place was packed with French people which I took to be a good sign. The food must go down as one of the worst meals I have ever had in France. And that's saying something. I won't bore you with the details except to say that the chips that accompanied our grizzly leather that was meant to pass as steak were the shape of mc donnells Chips except nearly burnt, soggy and greasy. There were no accompanying vegetables with the steak or the salmon. When we were finished our poor starters, the waitress came to remove the plates and put the used cutlery back on the table for the next course. If this had been back in Ireland we would have given it back and refused to pay. It wouldn't have been served in the first place. Anyway what amazes me is that the French people seem to think that this type of thing is great. I've seen it all over France. French people mopping up rubbish food and thinking its great. I lived in England for many years and it wouldn't be tolerated there either. The places would have closed down long ago. Enough of my rant, glad I got it off my chest though. Don't eat here.
D'accord, la nourriture et le service à la maison. Parfait. D'un autre côté, soyez prudent de mettre sur l'ardoise de jour en jour sur les tripes extérieures à la maison tandis que la serveuse me dit que c'est à partir de mercredi quand nous sommes samedi, mon mari était trop impatient pour cela quand il a vu l'ardoise.
Nous allons cet après-midi avec mon mari et ma fille et nous avons une bonne nourriture. Tout était très bon. Un très bon prix de qualité. Nous avons pris deux formules midi et un menu enfant, la note finale est demeurée très bien pour la quantité et la qualité de notre repas. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
C'est la première fois qu'on est allés au restaurant. Très belle surprise. Le personnel est accueillant et dynamique, le service est rapide, l'endroit est propre et agréable! Les plats sont généreux, un vrai plaisir. Et je ne doute pas de la fraîcheur des produits. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Nous retournerons sûrement et je vous recommande!
Nous étions une famille de 4 personnes 2 adultes et 2 enfants) bien reçu. Nous avons eu un jeune serveur qui été au top repas rien a dire sauf quand on prend un menu et c'est indiqué frites maison et on se tape du congeler un peu déçu et on nous emmène que du ketchup en sauce on nous propose pas d'autre choix de sauces style béarnaise.... Enfin bref. Je vous conseille le burger mexicain. Celui a base d'andouille mon mari la cherche encore.
