Excellent food and really friendly staff - came 1 night and kept coming back. Great for carnivores and fish eaters. My girls loved the duck and steak and for me prawns, scallops and a salmon tartifillet. Nice wines great beer.

Traditional french - all excellent:.Goat cheese tart, duck in blueberry sauce, veal kidneys in parley sauce [outstanding if you like that sort of thing], marscapone with lemon custard for dessert. More expensive than other restaurants in Menuires? - doubt it, but if so, the extra euro or two per plate is rewarded with quality.

Staff very nice, but you can get similar quality food at other restos in Les Bruyeres for far less money.

A big group of us came here for raclette and we were not disappointed! SO much cheese I would be impressed if anyone could finish the amount they give - we also had seemingly endless potatoes, bread and a good plate of cold cuts each.Service was friendly and helpful - when one of the raclette elements didn't get hot very quickly they sorted this out straight away. It's a relatively expensive restaurant but that is to be expected in a ski resort! (Raclette was €23 I think and in total it was around €40 a head with wine and service).

We went for a special occasion meal. Sat down at 7 pm so they should have all the produce advertised. Ordered the trio of meats . Told there was no venison and it would be substituted by chicken . OK, I suppose. The 3 small bits of chicken and the solitary sausage were ok, the "Medium rare duck" was so over done it was as tough as some of the sheet ice beginners pistes. It was accompanied by some cheese / potato sludge. Ordered panacotta, "not available". The creme brulee substitute was heavy and mediocre. Not worth £60 per head .Typical overpriced mountain restaurant. My advice is, go to the supermarket, get some fresh produce and cook something decent yourself. "Local" Argentinian wine was €21 per bottle. Even the waitress told us to avoid the pichet de vin rouge ! They did, however, ply us with genepi to try and deaden the pain. That is pain, not pain (bread)

We came here for New Year's Eve and the food was shocking. It was cold and the combinations horrendous. Worst food we've eaten in a long time. Do not go here.

This is a charming little restaurant that is full of local character. The staff wear traditional outfits and it is slightly more up market than some of the other places that we visited. They offer the standard mountain dishes and we shared a cheese fondue with the kids which was really good. The house wine was cheap and decent. The staff spoke good English and were very friendly. Worth a visit.

The restaurant's interior is really appealling - outperforming all other restaurants in the vicinity (Les Bruyeres part of Menuires) - and well located, exactly opposite of the Information Centre. Also the staff is attentive though respecting your privacy. We went there just to have our favourite meal - Savoie raclette. The selection of meat and sausage cuts was perfect, potatoes well prepared and the infra radiator device for cheese preparation well positioned on the table alllowing for easy manipulation. The only deficiency was the fact that the radiator was not strong enough. It took maybe 10 minutes before the cheese was first melted. And, what's more, we couldn't achieve that the surface of the cheese was roasted to light brown - it was only melted. We were only three there but if we were more it would even take more time to supply the melted cheese to everybody at the table. Then I can commend the perfect wine which name I, unfortunately, do not remember. So, in general, we were quite satisfied and next time I would probably go there once more. But not for raclette but either for fondue which looked fine at the neigbour table or for something else.
