Stopped by this wonderful restaurant for a bite to eat during a day of cycling the island. The 3 course set menu for only 20€ was the option of choice for all of our party and we weren't disappointed! The Serrano ham starter was simple yet tasty! The Hake was a very well constructed dish and the pastry and espresso dessert was a lovely finish! I would 100% recommend eating from this menu as you still get the quality you would expect!

We discovered this Restraunt three years ago. The food is amazing and very well priced. We went again tonight and the food was as before great. We read a review a couple of days ago about a rude waiter. We did not find him. Rather the waitresses and waiters were friendly and helpful. In fact one of the waitresses remembered us with warmth from three years ago. Delightful young woman. The three of us ait well from the menus with lots of choices. A lovely evening in St Martin de Re at Le Skipper.

We had the rudest waiter I've ever known, told us out French accent was terrible, which may be true but not what you expect when about to pay in excess of 150€ for your meal, and made us choose our own ice cream flavor form an iPad, hence we left before eating and got charged for drinks we never had time to consume!

Arrived at the restaurant with great expectations however the waiter that came to our table was immediately rude to us. We thought it was odd behaviour but thought perhaps we had misunderstood him. However when he came back to the table, his rudeness continued to a level we have never ever experienced. We felt very uncomfortable, spoke to another waitress and said that we were going to leave. Although she did to try resolve the issue, she then proceeded to charge us for drinks that we had only sipped!!!

Ate here for lunch. The waiter saw us, but didn't acknowledge us so we seated ourselves (lots of free tables). When he did come over, he seemed indifferent, even a bit surly in his demeanour. No welcome, no smile. He was talking to us, as I made an effort, but in a "couldn't care less" way. The food was nice enough - my mother enjoyed her salmon and I had a nice piece of cod - but the waiter made the experience a little less enjoyable. He checked on us, but really you just expect the service to be friendlier in a place frequented by tourists.

This place is ok, but has the feel of trying to please all tastes and probably not achieving top quality. If you are in a group who all want different things, then it's worth a try but there are better restaurants in St Martin. Plenty of room inside and out for a bigger group/family.

Fabulous situation on the quayside.Expensive seafood spoilt by the occasional whiff from a French drain.

It's been a couple of years since eating here. Not much has changed really. A regular quayside menu awaits you with a couple of daily specials. The shellfish was very good, fresh and generous. Wine is quite expensive here. What we struggle with is the very variable service. Some friendly staff and efficient others not so. You need a team meeting to get everyone up to same level.
