Stopped here on a whim, driving past and feeling a bit desperate to eat so thought we'd give it a go! It wasn't until we were sat inside and saw the trip advisor sign and did a quick check before we ordered I completely agree with all the positive reviews, we had the €22 set three course meal menu and was very pleasantly surprised. Food was very nicely presented and delicious, excellent value for money - would definitely recommend and will probably be returning for another meal before we return home.

Visited on Monday 29th May lunch time, passed by many times, my wife kept saying we should stop and look, decided to make the effort,as it was after what had been a busy holiday week in the area we had plenty of room, the staff and mine host were very friendly,it's not the cheapest place around but the food and service was excellent,we had the 36€ menu with half a bottle of Tavel Rose,2 coffees a bottle of non alcoholic 1644,bill was 102€.it is one of the spots we will defiantly visit again.

Great discovery.... this Restaurant is incredibly close to my favorite beach on the Cote Sauvage. Easy parking, easy access to beach and great food!!We had a delicious home made soupe de poisson and excellent oysters to start followed by a divine fricassée of scallops in a champagne sauce, one garnished with crunchy (rare in France) seasonal vegetables and the other with a mushroom risotto. We ended with a lemon sorbet and vodka delight and the most fabulous Moelleux au citron which just oozed out perfectly. All truly delicious and beautifully presented. We also found a great Charentais white wine from Segonzac... very impressive.Really looking forward to coming back again and don't hesitate to recommend. It's a little bit pricey but worth it

It has very fresh seafood & fancy salads, menu or à la carte . Great for a family reunion or an evening "en couple" or with friends. Reservations are advisable.

I went to Le Flandre with my Dad for a meal on a Saturday night in mid-October, and despite expecting it to be quiet it was banged out. My advice would be to book, even at this time of year. There's a great choice on the menu, including a very reasonable set menu, and there's more than just seafood if you're not a fish person. Vegetarians are less well catered for mind. However, when you are a few hundred yards from the ocean you should really try the fish.We went la carte, and between us we polished off a dozen fresh langoustines with a homemade mayonnaise. If you don't mind getting your fingers messy, go for the this or one of the other crustaceans platter to start.Whilst I was envious of my Dad's choice of main - a beautifully cooked Dover sole - I have to say my own main won in terms of taste sensation for the night. If you go to Le Flandre and you don't mind a foie gras, then be sure to have the scallops and pan fried foie gras (duo St. Jacques au foie gras poelee). It's pricey at €29 but is super tasty and flavoursome. Very rich also.Being a greedy wee pig I then polished off a trio of cheeses AND and a creme catalana for desert. The cheese was very nice but served with a salad and a very small onion relish, whereas I would have preferred a few different accompaniments to bring out the flavours of each cheese. Not the cheapest meal but delicious, fresh and served by a friendly bunch of staff. Would highly recommend.

Excellent restaurant. Very busy when we visited in mid September. However service was quick and really pleasant. Food superb, set menu at €21 is really good value. Don't miss it.

We really should have gone back before this is really good. The restaurant and the terrace have been extended but in busy times I would advise booking. We were found a great table on the terrace and were able to enjoy the warm evening whilst eating very well. We both had scallops in a champagne sauce with an excellent risotto. Huge meaty but tender scallops perfectly cooked with a creamy risotto2 excellent alcoholic ice cream desserts (Colonel for me Charente speciality for my wife) aperos and and a good bottle of rose + coffees and all for around 80 euros Service was quick and attentive will not leave it so long before going back this time
