on the recommendation of the well-known we chose the château de roussan to celebrate the birthday of a city visitor. the ambiente was beautiful, but we were very disappointed by the service and our meal. in the night when we were there, there was a fisherman's and a meatier's. the trout was in order if nothing from the ordinary, but the bark was so hard, it could barely cut with a knife and chew only with a big upshot. we reported this to our server, whereupon the chef kindly came to our table to explain that what we had ordered was actually a muscle and not a piece filet. while we appreciate the explanation, the taste of the flesh could not be for toughness. we found the desserts a moelleux, which turned out to be more like a baba, and a île flatante, which was a custard sauce served with too many competing aromas of chocolate and obstinate to be disappointing. we have never got bread with dinner and spent a good time until almost the end of the meal to get the attention of a waiter. but no one ever saw us away, or even looked at the other tables to see what was missing. we were also withdrawn that the waiter had a main course over the table when there was enough space to place it before our guest. at the end of the evening we have been sorry to have a hospitable here for a special occasion.

On the recommendation of the acquaintances, we decided to celebrate the birthday of a city visitor. The ambience was beautiful, but we were very disappointed by the service and our meal. In the night we were there, there was a fish entrée and a meat entrée. The trout was fine if nothing from the ordinary, but the beef was so hard it could hardly be cut with a knife and chew only with great effort. We reported this to our server, whereupon the boss kindly came to our table to explain that what we had ordered was actually a muscle and not a piece of fillet. While we appreciate the explanation, the taste of meat could not be for toughness. We found the desserts a moelleux that turned out to be more like a baba, and a île flottante that was a custard sauce served with too many competing flavors of chocolate and fruit to be disappointing. We never have bread with dinner and spent a good time until almost the end of the meal to get the attention of a waiter. But no one saw us according to the way or even looked at the other tables to see what was missing. We have also been withdrawn that the waiter distributed a main course over the table when there was enough room to place it before our guest. At the end of the evening we were sorry to have a guest here for a special occasion.
