Le LaurierWhy visit Saint Satur? Well because of its proximity to Sancerre , a 2.5 km walk. There is the famous square, nice terraces and wine shops. But hey, Saint Satur has Le Laurier. Plenty of accolades on TripAdvisor and rightly so. This is a charming hotel/restaurant that is run by people with a heart for their business. We slept here and had dinner which was just fine. A very fine wine list , and a well crafted 3-course dinner, great job. I took the opportunity to bike along the Loire on a very fine, dedicated bikepath, just 1 km removed from the hotel. OK folks, it all boils down to this:, if you want to experience the French heartland hospitality , food and fine wines at very reasonable prices this is the place.

This is a typically French village-type restaurant. which for a Monday night was surprisingly busy. Menu choice was very good, as was the wine. Coq au vin very nice, as was the cheese course.

Good wholesome food, nicely presented and cooked well. A rustic charm. The owner was extremely helpful and service was very good. We were a group of ten celebrating a birthday and had a separate room. We took the fixed menu at just under 30 euros which was good value.

Good food, excellent service, in a beautiful setting. Fresh flowers filled every nook and corner of the dining room. Restaurant is operated by a charming mother/son team.

This chef knows his stuff. This is our second visit. Broad range, quality ingredients, and a great style. The carrots sweet, the potatoes cooked just right, the crockery matches the food, service faultless.

We saw a few less than favorable reviews regarding this restaurant and just have to say, comme ci, comme ca. Incredibly romantic old inn setting. Son seats and serves, mother cooks (and knits on couch in the lobby later in the evening when kitchen is done). 25 euro prix fixe dinner menu could not have been a better value, regardless of whether or not you think every course is the best you ever had. Very fun/creative menu that delivers exactly what it claims it will. Would absolutely eat here again.

We stayed here recently for one night on our way South. It was a real find. It offers very average rooms but fantastic food and excellent service. Highly recommended.

This place is special, like enjoyably old-fashioned in a way, but quite modern in the food they serve and how they do it.The mother and son relationship works brilliantly and this is hospitality at it's bestthe dining room was full with hotel guests, we were the youngest there (at 50)I had some old-style french classics (veal head) but the presentation was modern and tasted great.My wife asked for 2 starters and like with everything that evening, not only was it no problem whatsoever but it was brought with gusto The wine recommendation was excellent
