We had an excellent surprise in the lovely saint suliac to discover the Boucanier. The food was amazing. We have been there 2 times. I really recommend this address for those crossing the region.

Just a small walk away from the lake, the restaurant offers great cuisine and several delicacies. Fish is thr main choice here but they offer great other options, I had the crab with caviar and it was great. It's a traditional French restaurant so... prepare with some French phrases....and book ahead if on the weekend...although I saw a few group walk ins without reservation. Parking may be tricky, so park just outside thr main village entrance and walk among the lovely tiny houses in the Grand Rue. A must after the delicious cuisine is a walk on the lake...truly enjoyable for ANY traveller...solo, a romancing couple or family and friends.

We have wanted to come and try this restaurant and we're not disappointed we took the lunch menu. The puff pastry fish based starter with chorizo and salad with dressing lovely flavours. Followed by a thermos glass fish flavoured mash potato dish which although may sound boring but with an accompanying salad was superb. A nice bottle of rose , finishing with a pear belle Helene and a tasty fruit salad for the ladies. This restaurant has a great atmosphere we will comeback for sure.

It was worth the walk up a steep hill to get to the restaurant. We had booked which is advisable. The food was excellent with variety on favourite French dishes. For starter I had crab topped with mackerel caviar and saled. My main course was duck in pastry with ratatouille. I shared a chocolate torte. The favourite dish of my friends was the king prawn skewers.

We had lunch here in this pretty village. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good menu choices and the food was excellent.

We kind of stumbled upon this adorable restaurant in very picturesque St Suliac. We loved every bite we ate as well as the unpretentious, good service. It's the kind of place you want to keep a secret but they deserve a great review!

Quite busy so recommend booking. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, service was fine, it would appear typically French with little English spoken/understood. Food a bit disappointing overall, very average, and so wouldn't rush back as I think there's better restaurants a little further afield.

We returned to here on a fairly quiet Thursday night, arriving promptly at 7am, and were offered a choice of tables in the lovely dining room. We again ate very well but it does need a bit of thought. The 'menu de jour' appears to offer two choices of starter / main / dessert as that is what was chalked up on the board, but only one option was available. 25 euro for 3 courses is ok but you will probably eat much better from the 33 euro menu... We went for one of each and that was our experience! The open kitchen allows you to watch the kitchen team and we were served our starters. A stunning dish of white asparagus, the other, rillettes.. This was followed by salt cod and a fine quality steak, of which there was a choice of cuts, cooked perfectly.Desserts were very pretty. All the food tasted superb, with quality ingredients. Closed Mon- Weds in May.
