I came here with my girlfriend and French in-laws a couple of Sunday's ago as it seemed to be highly rated. I haven't really got too much to say about this place apart from I thought the food was good and good value, but it took 30 to 40 minutes for food to appear between each course! We had 4 courses! By the end of it we were pretty fed up and bored of each other. We didn't return during the remainder of our holiday.
Visited here for an evening meal at the end of a week's holiday near Sarlat.Booked online, which worked perfectly.Able to park on the side of the road near the restaurant. Selected the 19.50 euros fixed price menu and had three wonderful courses.From arriving to finishing our coffee was probably about two and a half hours, and we didn't feel that the service was slow. The pace of the evening felt just right.I then asked for the bill and we waited, and waited. Eventually we spotted someone else without a bill heading to the bar, so followed them and paid there. It would have been nice if our waiter, who was under pressure and been very helpful earlier in explaining a couple of items on the menu, had advised us just to go to the bar to pay.Would love to return to Sarlat and eat here again.
Right across the street from the Ibis Hotel. Was recommended by the lady at the hotel. We had the fixed menu and glass of house wine, both were excellent we had the fish for my wife and I had beef. In the true French tradition the meal took about two hours, but you can not be in a hurry eating in France unless you do fast food. Waiter was vale helpful with some translations so we could enjoy to upmost.
Surprised and delighted to see such a busy bustling restaurant, close to the centre of Sarlat, serving excellent, wholesome, well presented plates of food. Friendly service, but was busier than we expected so, wise to book.Menu is varied and the spare ribs chosen by my husband were beautifully cooked with a delicious sauce, as was my pavé of salmon. Starters showed originality- my Nems with spicy duck alongside sesame grilled prawns with side salad was superb. Wine List has plenty choice and we managed to find our favourite Sancerre from Crochet- brought back happy memories of holidays long ago.What a change from some of the tourist traps in town! A slice of real French lunchtime cooking at reasonable prices. We shall return soon.
